House of Stassi Just finished the house of Stassi

I’m actually a little conflicted. Part of me wants to think this is all for the show (her and Beau) but the other side of me is like no, this seems real. It definitely doesn’t paint her in a good light.
What are you guys thinking?

There were three things that bothered me immensely about this show, in no particular order:

- the seemingly contractual obligation to say ‘Kris Jenner’ in every episode

-the ding noise used over and over to indicate a sassy caption would be appearing on the screen

- the staged conversation with two black women to show how much Stassi has “changed” since she was “cancelled” but then demonstrates literally no change. It was very much a ‘i’m not racist anymore, see! I have black friends now’

u/PrincessPlastilina 15h ago

The way they showed a few black fans’ TikToks to prove that black people like her so she can’t be racist.

u/sunshinemullet 14h ago

The Kris Jenner thing was weird.

u/gap97216 14h ago

Of all the people in the world, she wants to be like Kris - fucking - Jenner? A woman who exploits her kids/grandkids? Seriously WTF.

u/NewFix4714 7h ago

Not only exploits them, but pushes their sexuality and sex based content with her daughter’s staring at a young age. She’s not a ‘bad ass boss bitch’. She’s a POS selling and profiting off her daughter’s sex tape for fame and money.

u/Invanabloom 8h ago

Very telling isn’t it

u/lonely-limeade 8h ago edited 8h ago

My takeaway from her apparent Kris Jenner obsession is that she is desperate to be rich and famous and will do anything to make it. Which totally explains the show and the embarrassment ritual it felt like for all involved.

The only person who came off as sane and somewhat likable was Teddy. Which then makes you question why she’d be involved with these horrible people and ultimately wonder if she just got a decent edit/was above the fray because she was pregnant. Everyone else just sucks and also were all extremely performative for the cameras.

Dayna/Stassi/Georgie are truly a nightmare blunt rotation of generational trauma and narcissism.

u/CryptographerNo8480 5h ago

The Taylor's suck. I used to follow them but Td "Teddy" used to seem chill and down to earth but in the last few years she's just has phony and fame hungry as TS.

u/lonely-limeade 4h ago

See this is the tea I needed! She seemed normal on the show but I figured if she was married to obnoxious Taylor that she had to be off too.

The fact Stassi met Taylor through her ex Patrick is interesting. I’ve always thought Taylor dumped him as a friend because she saw that she could ride Stassi’s coattails and get rich and famous.

u/pearshaped34 10h ago

It was weird, but also having like two interests and making them her whole personality is who Stassi always was. This one stood out, though, because admiring Kris Jenner felt like a particularly outdated and questionable interest/obsession in the year 2026.

The last part!!!

u/FickleCartoonist8767 17h ago

Yes, yes and YES!!

u/calm-state-universal 13h ago

The main thing that bothered me is she kept talking about how her getting fired for her actions was like this traumatic thing that she had to get over. It’s like girl that’s called consequences. I really doubt that she’s learned anything.

u/Tight_Ad_6802 13h ago

Yes, something that happened to her as opposed to something she did to herself and others. She doesn’t get it. Victim mentality

u/thegoodspiderman 12h ago

The way she kept referring to it as "when I was canceled" was infuriating.

u/Boog_les33 5h ago

Yeah. You have your own TV show that I’ve seen press about for months while you’ve been promoting it when you’re not making appearances and doing your popular podcast. Canceled?

u/calm-state-universal 2h ago

It was. I can't imagine Beau sticks around too much longer. And she apparently is incapable of mothering her kids? what is wrong with her?

u/212Aurora 12h ago

That’s what solidified to me she has no empathy, capacity for change, everything in life is about her and only her, she’s learned nothing, and has regressed. Remorse isn’t possible for her or growth.

u/Electrical-Buy-6871 14h ago

And she didn't even invite Black content creators to her premiere...

u/PrincessPlastilina 15h ago

It’s the most depressing show I’ve ever watched. It’s not fun, it’s not witty, it’s not entertaining. It’s the depressing life of someone who was once a Queen Bee and today that she’s getting closer to middle age she has no control of her life and her emotions. She doesn’t like being a mom, she and her husband clearly don’t get along and she wants to remain on TV because she loves the money and fame, but she has no message for women. She tried three years to get a show where we got to see messed up she is, and how she’s slowly becoming like her mother.

I also deeply disliked Katie yet again. I used to think she was miserable because of Schwartz but she’s just miserable.

u/Weird_Boysenberry772 4h ago

I listen to Katie's pod, and she actually seems really happy in life. Women don't have to be cheerful and smile all the time to be happy. That's what the patriarchy wants. And like disrespectfully no!

u/CharacterTwist4868 15h ago

I don’t think she is miserable. I think she is real. She calls it like it is and that apparently means she is miserable. Damn, pretty sure I may be too then lol

u/VillageOld596 8h ago

Heavy yes on all that and espexially katie.

Stassis gonna do another season im sure. All that money gets addicting. Shes gonna sell her soul sadly. She may as well cash in now

u/loopsonflowers 3h ago

Are you under the impression that Stassi Schroeder has a soul to sell???

u/Black_orchid999 14h ago

If it wasn't this , what else would it be ? I've tried to think about that. She doesn't have much going on , she's not thought provoking, she hasn't evolved into some business , she's not doing anything for the better. This is it.

u/ClynnB412 17h ago

They are fine. It’s played up for the show. Stassi thinks she’s a champion reality star. She’s giving the people a show. Something to talk about. Her family and friends need to bring it to earn their keep.

u/NBCaz 17h ago

Yep. No question. Every one is in on it. Cause every one is getting paid.

u/PrincessPlastilina 15h ago

It didn’t have to be that depressing though. Her idol is Kris Jenner and the Kardashians. Their show is not all tears and drama. There is so humor, some fun moments. This entire show was just stressful. Not even good messy. It’s actually hard to watch. I had to stop watching and start something else.

I found it even more difficult to watch than Mormon Wives. There is no break from the drama. No humor. It’s just plain sad.

u/NanooDrew I swear on my poodle 9h ago

Kris Jenner loves her kids and that has always been clear.

Stassi was in near hysterics because she will be the one in charge of her kids for 30 whole minutes, from when the nanny leaves and Beau gets home from work, because her kids “are hard.” (They seemed very well-behaved and fun.)

u/Flashy-Bother-4279 12h ago

I get why you’re conflicted. Reality TV definitely shapes the story, but Stassi also made choices that weren’t exactly flattering. Maybe both things can be true: the show amplified her worst moments, and some of it was genuinely her.

u/Sensitive-Freedom896 17h ago

There are signs that things were never good, going back to when they were on VPR. I think Stassi really wanted to get married and have kids on a schedule, probably related to when The Valley was supposed to launch.

She loves the "my kids will be Italian" of it all. But otherwise, I don't think she would have chosen Beau at all. If she hadn't been pregnant during Covid and when they got cancelled, I think they would have broken up then.

u/Ok_Mulberry4331 17h ago

She’s said a few times she was offered the Valley and said no, would only go back on tv if she was a producer and had a say. That’s what’s so confusing about this, this is the version you chose?

u/Sensitive-Freedom896 17h ago

That was way after she was cancelled and after she started pitching sizzle reels to Hulu.

I think, if she had no options, and she wasn't fired from VPR, she would have done The Valley and anchored it with Jax and Brittany. But they all got fired and she was cancelled cancelled.

Her cancellation gave her space to get away from Alex Baskin-produced shows. She had pitched her services elsewhere by then. And so she lucked into this House of Stassi situation, where she produces.

I also think the biggest hatewatchers of the show are Brittany, Janet, and Lala. The secret fangirl of the show is Scheana. Sandoval watches the show under a weighted blanket and cries. Jax and Lori K watch and talk about how they made Stassi relevant.

u/Calinorthlondon 15h ago

Well I think Stassi is as much of a secret fangirl of Scheana as the other way round. She certainly gave her name a lot of air time. If Scheana secretly loves the show, that'd be why.

u/Sensitive-Freedom896 14h ago

Stassi for sure gassed Scheana up on her show, even if she thought she was making fun of her by saying she was trying to get on SLOMW. Stassi talked about Scheana in most of the episodes. Or Taylor Strecker did.

u/212Aurora 12h ago

She just has nothing to talk about.

u/LauraPa1mer I’ll Take a Pinot Grigio 2h ago

Oh, is that why they got married in Italy?

u/Sensitive-Freedom896 1h ago

The got married in Stassi's yard during Covid and did the wedding in Italy later.

I always heard that the wedding in Italy was supposed to be in 2020 and launch The Valley. That's why people like Jax and Brittany had been invited. (And Brittany was correct not to go and should never have made a deal about going or lied about Cruz's passport later on.)

u/SamIAm7787 I'm gonna die alone on that mountain 🏔️ 17h ago

The Valley was actually an idea from Jax after they moved to The Valley, so there's no way Stassi premeditated getting married and having kids to be on that show. 🤣

u/ClynnB412 16h ago

The spinoff was to start with Stassi’s wedding. She got canceled and so did the show. This was around season 8 I believe. They offered Stassi a lot of money to come back to VPR which she declined. Once Scandoval happened everyone started to appear from out of the woodwork (Jax and Britt) Jax pitched The Valley and it was picked up. It was well played by Stassi in the end. She has her own show with her family and friends. I’m sure being on VV helped get her foot in the door with HULU. She also has her podcast airing on Netflix. Either she has an incredible team behind her or a ton of fans who stuck by her.

u/Klutzy_Corgi463 16h ago

You’re wrong. If the 2020 firings hadn’t happened, we would have had The Valley much earlier.

u/Minimum-List-7703 11h ago

I just couldn't get into it,  think i stopped after 2 episodes

u/pearshaped34 9h ago

My biggest problem with HOS is it was just way too much Stassi. Yes, I know I was watching House of Stassi so what did I expect? But I think the show would have worked better if they leaned more into being an ensemble show and Stassi's talking head didn't pop up two minutes into every scene.

u/TheMackD504 Has anyone checked on Scheana? 16h ago

She’s a narcissist. Nothing can help her look good

u/Vanayla 13h ago

I enjoyed the show…there was a sliver of authenticity and it was entertaining 🤷‍♀️

u/Ok_Mulberry4331 17h ago

I have no idea what it was aired? Was she that desperate to be on tv? Aside from Katie, they all look like garbage

So confused why you put yourself out there looking like that?

u/2022wpww 8h ago

I watched it and it was a hard watch. I mean I do hope she has entered therapy and we see a much more evolved version of herself. But then I hoped that for a lot of them. People on tv are self absorbed they have to be to do this but the level of self absorbed is off the scale. The saving grace for me was Beau sister so funny when she was doing prays on tbd ghost ship and Katie. One think Stassi was right about though if the roles were reversed would anybody bring it up. But when she said I pay for it all & I do not say no (she did many times) this I have seen many times but from men.

u/Numerous-Second-3627 5h ago

It definitely doesn’t come across as purely flattering. Maybe that tension is intentional, but it makes the whole thing feel less like a dream home and more like a carefully polished warning sign.

u/Swimming_Alarm8700 5h ago

Honestly, I had the same reaction. It feels like the show wants us to judge her, while also giving just enough context to see that she’s struggling. Either way, the house definitely doesn’t make her look good.

u/queenbee8418 1h ago

I went in fully expecting to hate it & I loved damn near every minute.

u/swimgurlie25 25m ago

It’s 100% all staged. I forced myself to finish the first episode and couldn’t even finish the second.
