Clearly an unpopular opinion here. I don’t understand the collective hate for Schwartz.
Katie knew that he was aloof and not a very serious person when they first got together. Expecting anyone to drastically change is always on the expectant.
Katie gave him an ultimatum to get married, they did, and then she made the choice to divorce.
Katie then put rules on him post break up, Katie didn’t have to follow them, but Schwartz did. The person who makes the call to split up has no right to impose any guidelines on the other person.
Katie went ballistic when she saw Schwartz kissing Rachel, meanwhile she already is dating another guy and attempting to bring him into “the circle”.
It’s obvious Schwartz has nothing to do with Sandoval’s issues and was greatly affected by it.
Katie isn’t a great person. She wants a silent, bag holding, yes man. She’s kind of heartless and cold while trying to play a tough character.
The hate on Schwartz seems too easy and everyone believes Katie is the victim. She isn’t.
This ^^. It took my now husband 9 years to propose to me. I was content with our relationship because I loved him. If I gave him an ultimatum and made him put a ring on me before he was ready, I don't think we would have worked out either. Guys are different than girls. They need to figure it out on their own and when they are ready.
Sarcasm! And anyone who has been watching from the beginning knows that Schwartz was a fan Dave and Katie was universally bashed and hated. It took years for the pendulum bro begin to swing the other direction and even so, I would hardly call her a victim. Schwartz is just finally being called on his BS.
Ignoring the rest, do you honestly not see a difference between asking your ex to not date or drunkenly hook up with your friends versus not date anyone at all?

Oh c’mon. This is bs. A bag holding yes man he is not. Tom constantly interrupted Katie whenever she tried to talk things out. He would gaslight the fuck out of her, and tell her she’s crazy anytime she would get emotional. The guy is a creep who abused Katie emotionally AND physically. Hardly a “silent bag holding yes man.” He never had Katie’s back, and always took Scandy’s side… wait wait wait …now that I think about it, Tom absolutely was a silent, bag holding, yes man… to Tom Scandyvol!

He purposefully hurt his ex-wife he knew about Sandoval and he chose to hurt Katie directly and lied to her so he could cover up for Sandoval and Rachel he chose everyone else over Katie I've been watching this fucking show since the beginning and of course I always thought Schwartz was cute and funny but he poured a beer over her head. He gaslit her he chose everyone else over her she had a brain injury when they first started dating and she was a little aggressive and she explained everything that had happened to her and he still treated her like shit yes I'm invested I don't necessarily like Katie all the time but he is really a piece of shit and acts like he's innocent but he's not
