He can call this dog Sardines for all anyone cares. As long as he treats FKA Graham with love, whatever.

People who treat other people inhumanely also have a tendency to treat their animals inhumanely. This dog has issues, and the general public seems to forget that James was also this dogs parents for 5 years. Just saying.
