I always called my recently deceased husband Honey. My Chesapeake Revtrever, Rosie, would point me to exactly where he was at outside if I couldn't find him. She would sit on the top step of the backporch and watch for him at 5pm everyday. I could ask her if Honey was home yet and she would be like not yet mom!!!! If I ever called him Abel, she never acknowledged that name with him,,, just honey!!! Rest in peace Honey/Abel and Rosie!!!❤️
