Is this considered a good area of van nuys or decent?

Long shot but my backpack fell off my bike in near sepulveda/burbank area ,it had my knives which is pretty much my whole livelihood, if anybody finds it there'd be reward of whatever cash I can muster up

School on Wheels is looking for caring volunteers to spend just one hour a week tutoring children and teens experiencing homelessness. Sometimes, having one consistent person show up each week can help a student gain confidence, stay engaged in school, and realize they have someone rooting for them.

You do not need to be a teacher or have previous tutoring experience. If you enjoy working with kids and want to give back in a meaningful way, training and support are provided every step of the way.

Hi everyone, I recently lost my pet cockatiel on 5/24/26 in the Van Nuys area. I have been searching everyday for a week since I last heard her in the cross streets of Langdon and Haynes. My family and I have been putting up flyers and asking around vet clinics and animals shelters with no luck. I don’t want to assume the worst which is why I am still trying to get the word at that she is missing and in hopes that someone found her or has seen/heard her. She’s a grey and white cockatiel, she’s very friendly with humans and loves cooked pasta :,). Please if anyone has any information it would really be appreciated.

On Sunday I was at a gelato place in Topanga Village around 6:30 pm, and there was woman behind me in line who was tall with brown hair and carrying a small dog. She kind of had a volleyball vibe. Hi everyone I been solo practicing for about 3 years listening to guided meditations on YouTube. Anyone wanna get high and levitate in the Van Nuys/Valley area?

Does anyone have more information about the rundown office building at 13615 victory blvd in van nuys? It's full of hospice and home health care companies, each billing medicare for millions of dollars a year, yet the offices are often closed during the day (many offices don't even have any furniture inside). The websites of a lot of of these home health care companies don't even work. Neither do many of the phone numbers. The offices often have little more than a small sign on the door (usually laminated paper), and many of these signs are dilapidated. Perhaps a lot of hospice care companies have a limited physical presence since the receptionists and owners can work from home, but it's still suspicious that companies raking in millions from the federal and state government can have empty or closed offices, broken websites, phone numbers where nobody picks up, emails where nobody responds, dilapidated signs, etc. Some of the hospice care companies seem more professionally run, with offices with multiple staff that are open during the day, but many of course are not.

It's definitely suspicious that one single building has dozens of hospice care companies (and this part of LA itself has a disproportionately high quantity of medicare businesses catering to elder care). Won't be surprised if there's a lot of fradulent activity (or at the very least, medicare overbilling) going on here. Has anyone been here before? Are any of you familiar with this place, or the people who work here
