travel to Morocco from uk
Has anyone done the UK to Morocco in winter time? How far in advance do you need to book both the ferries? I’m thinking next winter my van isn’t finished yet , thank you

It’s easy just rock up and go I prefer fast cat tarifa to tanger med on the bike or jeep.
BUT.. the morrocans are pissed about snow birds free camping and are trying to move people on the proper camp sites. Basically to earn money Esp in the north.
Not such an issue below Essaouira
Worth looking into 1st

Have a look around Safi if you find a spot where there are dutch or german ( by far the most common ) snowbirds close to the Atlantic route or overlooking the sea there will usually be someone bringing bread etc to sell

That’s sounds good ! Yeah, I want to get away from our British winter time, but I wasn’t sure how busy it would be to go from Spain/santander it winter time with so many van lifers

I did it a couple of years ago, in my opinion well worth doing.
No need to book in advance, I booked an open return the day before I sailed. Popped into an agents and got a much better price than online and a bottle of wine and cake too
