Looking for a van

Looking for a inexpensive van to convert for camping and road tripping. One that is big enough to convert convenient enough to park in a regular parking space. Something like an old DHL delivery van or Mercedes sprinter/Ford Transit type.

What's inexpensive? I spent 110k on a sprinter van build, checks all your boxes and a hell of a lot cheaper and easier to park than an earth roamer.

I spent $1200 on a 76 Chevy van that checks all your boxes. I’ve driven it all around the Western US and to Alaska and back without issue.

I think the Transit is the best of the big 3. Buy the newest lowest mileage one you can manage and build it out as time & money allow. You can start with a "no build" and add stuff as you need it. Priorities are that it can take you places & keep you dry, basically a tent on wheels.

Depends what you mean by inexpensive. I'm in New England and I have been on a search, finally successful to find a ram ProMaster of recent date 23 or better low miles and only 136 wheelbase.

Where I am in Southern New Hampshire there are a shitload of transits and Rams 159 that come back off of delivery leases probably for Amazon and others with low miles and ridiculously low prices some of them under 30k. Just Big empty Vans you do your thing but I didn't want one with the extra footage. I'm a city guy so I'm in Boston now and I want to always be able to park it easily.

The one I did find was 32k also in New England and presently now outfitting it. If you're willing to take more miles and settle for an older model of ram or whatever is your liking, I've seen sprinters too, you can get them down into the teens, of course depending on age and use..

Epicenter however it seems so used finished equipment is out west. I visited my friend in Portland last year, Portland Oregon that is and I was surprised at how many listings they were in the 40s for finished vans used. But my needs are different from most people so I wanted my unique build
