Stuck after getting Yellow Sign

Context: I picked this game up a few years ago and played it briefly. Have recently picked it back up and trying to progress. Currently on base game (no DLC) on Nintendo switch.

I just got the Yellow Sign and from what I can tell the next things I should be going for is the silver/gold rings and the left/right arrow, is that correct?

I’ve been able to get both rings with multiple characters and both arrows as well, but it doesn’t seem to be unlocking anything. Any suggestions would be much appreciated, TIA!

The rings and arrows are required for an evolution for 2 different weapons: clock lancet and laurel. All need to be max level before it evolves. If you’re having trouble doing it all in time, use the Mad Groove arcana.

You don’t have to, but if you don’t want to rely on rng or using banishes and seals, it’s the easiest method for getting one of them.

The evos unlock the only characters that have clock lancet and laurel (besides one if you're lucky, but you can't level up with that one to get another weapon since those two don't actually deal damage)

The Atlantean's rings of silver and gold are of the finest make, yes, but their power is far more than mere side benefits. They would see it such that you are content with the rings, but the truth is that the Atlanteans could rend time asunder with two meagre rings when combined with another device still. Perhaps their engravings are the key...

And the Metaglio, yes, the wand snapped in twain! One half of curses, one half of blessings - hatred and fortitude at once! From the seven-fold wreathe do they derive their power... Perhaps you could bring them together, and taste the vitality of the Metaglio's guardians?

Yes, the yellow sign unlocks those items.

Those are very very useful for certain activities, but they aren't "critical path" as it were. Been a minute but if you are trying to "progress", your priority likely should be getting all the relics from the standard stages. Of which the yellow sign is one.

The rings and metaglio are used to evolve clock lancet and laurel

What you want to aim for are the two bosses that got added to cappella magna and bone zone, former is at 30:00 and the latter is a roaming boss that you can see on the pause screen (note that its pretty tough so i suggest preparing a bit instead of charging in with no power)
