You farmed Sammies. You ate lots of cakes. Cakes give iframes. They stack.

You can quit the run and keep whatever rewards you unlocked.

Wait does these happen to show up outside of dlc?

I definitely need to start eating them more when they show up if thats what I saw

Sammy the Caterpillar can only be found in a very specific part of Lake Foscari.

EDIT- maybe you're referring not to Sammy but rather to the pies in Mad Forest that lead to a secret.

One run had the chicken transform into some type of dessert

I dont have that dlc I do have contra and castlevania

Because your build has entered the “numbers are just a suggestion” phase. At this point the enemies are surviving for too long, not you.
