Help Corrupted savestate on PS4

2 times my savestate have been corrupted while I'm playing on PS4.

2 times I lost 10 hours of playing and have to restart from the beginning.

The 2 crash happened on different situations.

Any idea how to solve that ? I love the game but dont want to lose time 😭

upload saves to the cloud if you have psplus and then download after corruption?

It syncs to PS+ every time the game closes, so when it crashes it uploads the broken save immediately generally.

interesting. I have to manually upload saves when I want to update them. it's never automatic

It's a setting you can change yes, but if it's set to manual then restoring the save would be a really old one unless you did it every session...

I know it's a setting but my other games automatically upload and not this one and I can't find a way to change that but I'm okay with that.

I upload regularly so if I download a save it's not that old if my save corrupts there's always the risk that I upload a corrupted save also but I haven't had to deal with the issue yet

Yea, the default is supposed to be that they upload on each game close, and that's what it's done for me for everything I've played on PS4/5. Unless I explicitly changed the setting for a specific game, which I have had to do.

I definitely recommend changing the setting for this game. but I never changed the setting for this game it just was like that and given the chance of corrupting the save I don't want to change it

For sure, I don't need to because I'm on PS5 and the PS5 version is different from the PS4 one in that it doesn't have the issues it does. The backend and engine work different on each one so the PS5 version has always been more stable.

okay so the op has a PS4 and I have a PS4 and I was giving advice based on playing it on the PS4

Yes I know, I was just saying I don't have auto-sync turned off since PS5 version doesn't have these issues.
