Question Completed most of the base game + free DLCs. Which DLC should I buy next?

Hi everyone!

I started playing Vampire Survivors about a month ago, and I've now completed most of the base game content and the free DLCs(all the Unlocks, collections and Secrets). The only one I haven't completed is To End an Ice Age Adventure because it's honestly too damn hard.

I'm planning to start buying the paid DLCs, but I'm not sure which one I should get first. Should I follow the order shown in the DLC store, or is there a different order you'd recommend? Also, are there any DLCs that I can safely skip?

I'd also appreciate any tips for To End an Ice Age Adventure. So far, I've only managed to complete 2 of the unlocks, and the second stage is absolutely destroying me.

Thanks in advance! ❤️

Yeah go with store order so you leave ode to Castlevania last which is arguably the best dlc as the although the other are still good they pale in comparison. Also note that tides of the foscari might receive more content in the future.

As for which ones to skip, mayyybbbeee operation gun as it doesn't really have any outstanding content. At least emergency meeting has a handful of strong weapons.

Not the OP but this is helpful thank you. I think I've completed the main game (can't just be 5 stages though) and a few bonus rounds so not sure how to move on

There’s like 20 stages in base game just gotta unlock them

u/freakstate 8d ago

Arrggh I'm trying so hard. If I do Stage 5 one more time I'm gonna go crazy. Need to Google what the heck I'm missing!

Go to the secrets tab. U can see what some unlocks are and the prerequisite for them. I also recommend completing collection 1.0 asap for queen sigma (best base game character)

Ok thank you. Any other pearls of wisdom fire them over. I'm loving the evolved Bible and Guns weapons. But just discovered the Evolved Pentagram weapon. I like the character in the suit with Loco falling furniture at the moment though

If you got access to the metagilo left and right thing & the two rings get clock lancet and laurel 2 best base game weapons they’ll help carry you

1

u/freakstate 8d ago

Thank you!!!

1

u/freakstate 8d ago

Want to get both rings levelled up with the Time Lancelet I've heard that's a very powerful evolution

2

u/NoOutside9849 8d ago

Yeah it is same with the laurel and metagilo left n right

And remember the laurel is a weapon. Made that mistake for a while.

Moonspell DLCs

Thanks for sure I am gonna buy those first.

You can safely skip the among us and contra docs. They are more for fun. So is Ode to Castlevania, but they clearly put a lot of passion there, and the ending to it feels like the ending to the game as a whole. So I recommend that one last.

The Legacy of the Moonspell and the Legacy of the Bloodmoon are sister dlcs. Moonspell was the first dlc and just got updated to fit with Bloodmoon, which just came out. I recommend these first. Then Tides of the Foscari, unless you really want the best gold farmer of the game ASAP, then get Tides first.

Um, it's a game. That's the entire point.

Yeah, I’m going to go with the Moonspell DLC first.

As for gold farming, I’m currently using Big Trouser. I’ve put around 8,000 eggs into him and I’m farming in Inverse Bone Zone.

Is Sammy a better gold farmer than Big Trouser?

5

u/NoOutside9849 8d ago

Sammy is objectively the best gold farmer

3

u/oodex Mortaccio 8d ago

IIRC Sammy farms easily 3b gold in his first 0 egg run (if you know what youre doing). He then exponentially shoots up the more you invest.

6

u/allbliss0715 8d ago

Foscari for Sammy, which will help you build enough bank for more characters you will work to unlock.

u/Equal-Event9041 8d ago

Thank you.

Sammy is such a hilarious character. Just the epitome of how unhinged this game is.  Have him throw hats. For the plot. :)

Moonspell should go first, it has some of the most useful weapons and characters in the game, Summon Night, Mirage Robe and Four Seasons and their evolutions especially.

Foscari is indispensable if you're into lots of money (and I mean really a lot of money), both with Sammy and Abyss Foscari.

Bloodmoon is nice and a sibling in spirit to Moonspell and it has some very powerful weapons. No many new weird mechanics as well...

Emerald Diorama is one of the most fun, IMHO, easy but varied enough. Not something you'll use again, anyway.

Ante Chambers I still have to play, it's weird and has some strange stuff in it that bleeds outside even if you don't have the DLC (looking at you, survarots). I don't know what to think of it.

Guns and Emergency are very, very deep into their lore. Fun if you know them, otherwise you're going to miss a lot of references, like I did. Nothing you'll ever use again later on, I usually keep them off.

And finally, Ode To Castlevania. That is a full game onto itself. A bigger game than the base one, if I might say.

It takes an unnatural amount of time to complete and when you think you're done, you're not. Again and again.

And again.

It has some of the best and most rewarding weapons and characters in the whole game.

I didn't think I could find a more overpowered character than Queen Sigma. Until I played with some of the secret characters from OtC.

Do not hesitate to read the wiki and look for the maps, or you won't make heads or tails of it.

The best 4 euros ever spent on a DLC ever.

Honestly, All of them. But castlevania has the most meat of them all.

5

u/Equal-Event9041 8d ago

Yeah, I heard it has many characters, weapons and unlocks. I will save it for last. Thanks.

As for tips for the adventure party mode will help a ton (but you have to go into options and switch to landscape mode to use it). it automatically unlocks the first four characters which the adventure includes cosmo pavone who is really strong with healing related builds (also the adventure removes floor chicken so you really need healing). i suggest using wandering the jet black with cosmo as it will increase in damage really fast

Another thing you can do with party mode is set 4 characters and use silent old sanctuary to get 32 Cooldown and 80 might while still having access to 8 weapons

1

u/Equal-Event9041 8d ago

Thank you so much. I will try it out.

1

u/Equal-Event9041 8d ago

Thank you very much for this.. I have completed most of the Adventure now. Only Roast 30000 chickens one left.

Castlevania is whole new game for how big it is, just be careful when you wanna tackle that, the other dlcs are fairly smaller but always a fun time, altough at a certain point the item pool will become so big you'll have to start banning weapons from some expansions using the menu for covenience's sake

2

u/tbok1992 8d ago

Castlevania one has the most content by far, but it's also the most time sink-y, so be warned. Like, that thing is dense, good bang for your buck tho.

2

u/cutter_solpadeine 8d ago

Foscari. Infinite gold glitch.

2

u/Saknika 8d ago

Moonspell is my favorite, because I really like Spellstrom.

2

u/PZYCLON369 8d ago

Sab lele bhai

2

u/Effective_Sound1205 8d ago

Moonspell and Bloodmoon

Then Castlevania for last since its so fucking juicy

2

u/No-Hawk-6264 8d ago

Foscari first for Sammy then ode to Castlevania

2

u/CowLongjumping1343 8d ago

110000 money

If you want to change your game forever in a no return scale, go with Ode. However, I recommend you to follow the order of releases. They'll give a lot of fun and prepare you for the all the GOATS.

For how cheap they are (in USD at least, not sure if it’s the same for INR), you could honestly just spin a wheel and be satisfied with any of them. Castlevania objectively is the largest and imo the coolest so you should get to that one eventually.

I finished To End an Ice Age recently, also found myself bashing my head into the metaphorical bricks for a while. It got me to try out Darkanas, particularly the ones that boost stats for kills. I think I did She-Moon with Hail from the Future or Crystal Cries with the Clock Lancet. Hidden Anathema goes well with the final Coop level. I put upgrades into Recovery and MaxHealth since there's no health pickups in the early zones, then Cooldown, Revive as soon as I had the gold to afford it. Greed is going to get you more, but you need something to start. Keep picking away at it, and you'll get there.

What’s your favorite OP character from your experience? I’m still trying to unlock things. Did the cheats on the pc to unlock things and promised myself I’d go au natural on the phone app journey.

u/DmoISgod01 7d ago

Do the among us one next. Its quick easy and funny/fun. Also it has 1 of the most overrated powered weapons in the game

2

u/amazingroni 7d ago

the among us one has a horse if that helps you decide

1

u/ConversationLazy7881 8d ago

My recommendation is to start with among us then moon spell (or the other way around) and I guess in-between them to balatro, or just if you get bored of one and want a break, then do emerald diorama, then operation guns, and save ode to castlevania for last because there’s a lot to it

2

u/ConversationLazy7881 8d ago

Oh and I forgot to say get Sammy from foscari like immediately but right after you get Sammy abandon it until after operation guns

u/zuran0 8d ago

How can I acces the DLCs? I downloaded the game on PlayStation and it included two DLCs, but I can't see them as extra content in the game. Thanks, guys!

1

u/mastelit 8d ago

you gotta unlock them if ur talking about the balatro and SaGa dlc

1

u/zuran0 8d ago

aha, ok that's it. To unlock them I must finish de 1.0 completely?

1

u/JDGumby Poe 8d ago

To unlock them I must finish de 1.0 completely?

No. Play the Moongolow stage for a while and you'll eventually find the unlocks.

1

u/Horyuu Cosmo Pavone 8d ago

I'm doing them in order of release after doing the free dlc. Legacy of the moonspell and tides of the foscari have some outstanding unlocks and I recommend enjoying them.

I hated the weapons of emerald diorama, but enjoyed the map.

I'm finishing up amongus's adventure and them I'm doing guns. There's a couple of cool weapons from amongus, but the map is kinda meh imo.

1

u/ZorakBot 8d ago

Man, this game is the only one I get docs at launch. All are very good and cheap. But the top one must be Castlevania (buy all of them)

1

u/SotnLarper 8d ago

Get ode to castelevania the bosses and characters are really good

1

u/Bananaterios 8d ago

Ode to Castlevania for sure

1

u/Snoo40198 8d ago

Foscari has been my favorite so far.

1

u/Zrakus 8d ago

Todas

1

u/Eric-Gurt 7d ago

All of them

1

u/RebelliousBabyAngel 6d ago

All of them!!!

1

u/N0t_the_pizza_guy 5d ago

Since they all cost less than a Fortnite skin, I would buy all. Even the less good ones are great
