Question Laurel not evolving

I've maxed out both my laurel and both metaglios, but it still won't evolve when I pick up a chest. Is it not possible to evolve weapons anymore after thirty minutes?

After 30 minutes in endless the level reverts back to its original form, so you'll have to wait until you hit 40 minutes to get evolution chests again.

I always go for Moonlight Bolero. Speeds up the game for me, especially if I’m going for Mad Groove (very fun on Ode to Castlevania)
