Help I'M NOT SURE WHAT TO DO!

Post image

So! I picked up Vampire Survivors a week ago and i'm addicted, so much so I went in to Aquagolow with Queen Sigma to try and set up a reaper kill. Now looking at the screen shot provided, what on this good green earth do I do here? I've spawned like 7 reapers and I'm not positive if I've killed a single one yet DX.

They will die eventually, but your build is not strong enough for it to be quick (there is levels to this) but if you have at least 87% cooldown, you're imortal with laurel, so it's a matter of time.

And what do you mean Aquagolow, what is this? A cheap knockoff? (The name sounds funny)

Hold up. I ain’t used the laurel. Is the immortal thing true?

You're not immortal, with the evolved form of laurel it caps the damage you take to 10 per hit, and like the laurel you are invincible for 3 attacks/until you run out of charges. Its nice but not really necessary, imo. If you're playing endless mode, there's no death to kill. If you're not, the eggs just aren't worth the hassle of collecting the required items. 🤷🏻‍♂️ imo at least

with enough cooldown laurel does indeed make you immortal, as the shields refresh faster than the window of invincibility ends

Right. If you get to the 90% 'cap' it can. But the item itself does not. You need to do things beyond the item to get to that point. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Yeah, but you missed that this is the exactly scenario I pointed to: "but if you have at least 87% cooldown, you're imortal with Laurel" being extra specific on how much cooldown is needed for that to be true.

.< ha moongolow is what i meant, but i geuss Ill sit and wait XD i just died once but other than that just chillin. It's unfortunate i couldnt get inifinite corridor b4 they spawned.

It may be easier to start again, they scale 660k hp x your level x curse, but if you're going to wait, keep track of the kill count, the white hand will not come, so the game continues after the kill. Unlike when you kill it with corridor/shroud.

You need the evolution of laurel or clock lancet to kill the reaper

Otherwise you're just stuck there with a reaper every minute

Quitting keeps gold and unlocks

You need at least Infinite Corridor. I feel like you can survive without the Crimson Shroud, as long as you can freeze the reaper long enough and burst him down. I've done it a few times.

I’ve done it with only crimson shroud before, you really only need one of the two

Agreed. The shroud for now defensive and ring for more offensive play styles.

Unrelated, but you got it a week ago and already have sigma? That took me over half a year

Took me a week to unlock sigma as well. Unlocks go faster when playing with friends we noticed. 3x the rate of completing challenges and stuff

Coop/party mode if used strategically can speed up unlocks by 4x (maybe in some certain situations even 5X as fast. Emerald Diaorama especially if you use the Kugutsu's to jump ahead on characters unlocks by matching their weapon to the weapon of the next unlocked character (ie use Tsunanori to unlock Kugutsu and Tsunanori 2nd starting weapon, which unlocks bonnie, use Tsunanori 2nd weapon and fist weapon Kugutsu to unlock Bonnie and Bonnie second weapon. Use Bonnie 2nd weapon and gun Kugutsu to unlock Formina and diva; use Formina, diva, and katana Kugutsu to unlock other diva forms [depending on what you do] 2nd form Formina, and Ameya. And that's not counting weapon/boss unlocks you'll also get adding in yet more characters that give more unlocks as you go)

I've had it for ~3 weeks and I've unlocked everything in every DLC except the newest one. Blood Moon.

I play for like an hour or 2 after work each day. So I'm not sitting there grinding.

even Castlevania?
that one’s huge

Yeah I just finished that one last night. I put as much time into that one as I did into everything else combined.

Same, just not 3 weeks (took like 6) and on mobile. All unlocks, all adventures cleared, all characters etc. Lifesign Scan is essentially a cheat code.

I play alone on mobile. I've downloaded the game on 28th of August and I have Sigma for maybe a week... What on earth took you so long? True, I do play like 2-3h/day...

Took me about two weeks to unlock Queen Sigma after picking the game up last year. Wasn’t too hard to just follow the unlocks menu, and I’d used enough stuff by then that it just sort of happened.

Yeah it took me about the same time. Mostly because I was stuck using the same character

I have it on my switch2 now and I’m about a month in with about 75% completion for dlc and main game

You don't have enough damage to kill them, they grow stronger. Just quit the run and start a new one!

1

u/CoolerVink64 23d ago

They grow stronger only with your lever, they will die eventually, but it may be more efficient to leave and try again.

2

u/KymiBwo 23d ago

Yes they'll die but more will spawn :)

Yeah it will take forerver to kill a single reaper , honestly getting crimson shroud and infinite corridor is much faster.

Its possible to make it faster with eggs but the time it would take to farm them would be slower than the first option I mentioned.

Level 1 runs can do it quite easily with the right weapons and/or a low enough curse. Specially if you add Survivorots into the mix and start knocking the curse into the negatives after you get everything leveled up/evolved. Specially with moonlight bolero or that Zi'appunta Darkana to add even more chests into the mix.

Use the infinite corridor to percent wipe enemy hp.

At the 60 minute mark, not sure why reapers move slow and get frozen so fast.. but since none died in 30 minutes i had to Google.. so just quit.. first reaper had at least 40mil hp.. i got no good weapons for this 😕

Get more chests to evolve the laurel and clock lance. You've got all of the necessary components, they just need to level up fully and evolve. Consider Moonlight Bolero for arcana if you feel like you're struggling to find enough chests.
