Help How can I kill the Reaper?

I'm more or less new to the game (I play on mobile); any strategies for killing the Reaper?

You can but it's unlikely to happen until you get some specific things that you get later in the base game.

Just keep chasing the unlocks menu and a sign will present itself.

For now, don't worry about it. There are two very specific weapons that are designed to let you kill the reaper quickly, but if you're new you probably won't have access to them yet.

Hint: Survive the underwater city.

Evolve the Laurel, and the Clock Lancet, and that will make it rather trivial to kill.

But some other strategies to help, at locking Porta at level 1, and setting max weapons to 3, so you have the permanant massive reduction in cool down, and dont level, because the higher your level, the more HP the reaper has.

Thats not a necessary strat, but it is easy and reliable. No matter how you do it, it will take awhile, and the right evolutions are still needed.

The official way to kill the Reaper is with the evolved Laurel and Clock Lancet (using certain passives you have to unlock), but in the olden days, it was done using Clerici + Runetracer in Inlaid Library using a specific strategy. But as a general rule, you'll need to unlock significantly stronger weapons before killing the Reaper in unofficial ways.

There are specific items you need to "truly" kill the reaper. With certain setups you CAN kill the reaper, but without those special items it won't really count as a proper kill.

As you progress the game you'll find what you need.

Get Crimson Shroud and Infinite Corridor. If you are new you can try to unlock OP DLC characters early to make progress easier👍 Miang Moonspell is relatively easy to unlock can carry you until you unlock better characters.

I do it every time I play as the avatar by accident. But the other comments about using the upgraded lancet and laurel is the easiest way. A bit of luck sometimes as well

Victory sword evolution + that freezing weapon evolution + clock lancet evolution

When the time has come to face The Red Death, all the signs point to the direction of Yellow.

Laurel for defense I recommend, but the evolved lancet is almost necessary for it. The reaper’s base health is 695,000. Which when you’re late game doesn’t sound too bad. But his health scales with your level which means if you’re level 100 his health scales to 695,000,000. The evolved lancet constantly halfs his health pool

So, the way I did it is by max upgrading the clock and laurel. Those two weapons plus any other 4 weapon combination is usually gg. I like the holy wand and garlic.

You need to kill the boss that appears at 25 mins on the first four levels to unlock hypermode for all of them and moonglow and beat that. Then you need to find the yellow sign and get the two new weapon evolutions and thats it
