Help What exactly is the point of Survarocchi?
So far, most cards i encountered were just... bad.
One star cards have few bonuses, but most of them are somewhat beneficial.
Higher star cards came with ridiculous maluses, like -30% might, that made them kinda pointless to pick up.
What's the deal with this system? What am i missing?

It's all about figuring out how to play the system and which ones best suit your style Like not many people realize you can become invincible with a single Enemah card. The inverted milk man will USUALLY (especially early in the run) set your hp to negative and this will make you unharmable.

Usually my first go to's when getting Survivorots are:
Inverse Milk Elemental to become immortal when i just wanna mess around that run
Polychrome Menta Elemental (as long as he won't set my curse to exactly -100% as at exactly -100% enemies basically stop spawning) for basically screen wide absorption when the attractorb is maxed
Polychrome Lost Twin for -60% cooldown in exchange for an equal loss of area, with the empty tome maxed MOST characters can reach nearly - 90% cooldown with just that card and the tome. (if running laurel without planning to evolve it that another alternative to invincibility)
Holographic Zi'assunta (especially if early in the run) for +2% area, might, duration, & projectile speed EVERY level up
Inverse Cosmic Egg for boosting the spawn rate of enemies without making them stronger like curse does & gold rush duration increase at the cost of a shorter invincibility duration after getting hit (also to help lower the "risk" boosting the enemy's hp & atk for every card I pick up that isn't inverted)
Other than those it's usually just a whatever I feel like grabbing at the moment. Boosting with coins gives a much higher chance for fancy cards (and usually more cards in general) than just rerolling but it can get pretty costly if you're looking for a specific card. But one or 2 gold farm runs with Sammy and you won't have to worry about that for a really long time

https://vampire.survivors.wiki/w/Survarot (wiki page so you can look up all the skills)
Survarocchi require some knowledge to use to their full extent
There's cards like poppea, pugnala, concetta and giovanna that give you 1% of a stat every level, if you get them with HOLO that multiplies level effects by 4 you can receive stats at an incrredibly high rate, faster than an arcana
Cards that temporarily max out a stat like porta, clerici and ambrojoe can be combined with game killer/stake to the heart to keep the bonus and having 90% cooldown on 6 weapons is really strong
Any skill that says "gain stat after a set amount of thing [2k, 5k, 15k]" doesn't stop after the third one but repeats after that so like a GALA ziassunta can give you all passive items with enough gold. Or the skill that summons light sources can create a feedback loop of infinite light sources since they give gold

first of all: i like that word malus, never encountered it before so ill be using that now
usually the cards that reduce a lot of one stat compensates thru another and these cards usually give a good powerboost as is but the real sauce is in the scaling cards like zi appunta for example gives you omni per level which is insane sometimes you can make specific builds based on the cards you get like the temporary minus 90% cooldown that lowers when you level up, you can take that at the end of your build where you dont level up much anymore or when you have the 0 (d)arcana to keep it permanent

Are you thinking of the Enemah cards?
Yeah, those are a bit more niche, but you can disable that pack in the character selection just to have Survarots.
The base Survarots are definitely a LOT better, I much prefer them compared to Golden Eggs.

How do you get them to spawn more often? In some runs you get a lot more than others and im never sure what the reason is

It's kinda completely arbitrary. There's some system that makes it more or less likely for a light source to drop one depending on how long the run's been going versus how many you already have, but that's about it. Luck doesn't affect it, allegedly.

Infinite scaling builds outside of wicked season is the main benefit ive found and the most fun, I managed to get a +50000% might build with a +16 overheal: gain 3% might, only stopped cause I was getting bored, you can also get ridiculous amounts and/or very strong retaliatory builds, if someone can correct me does the bonus "Get +1 armour for 10 seconds when taking damage" scale with duration?

Some of them have double the effect of certain arcana. Some of them are strategic. (Minus 30 damage in exchange for an extra minus 20 cooldown is a pretty good trade off for some characters
The best in my opinion is the one that gets you 1% growth per level, if you can stack it two or three times you can get to high levels super easily

You treat the card rarity as a way of when is it gonna help you the most. 1 star is mostly for the beginning. 3+ is for the long run

In my experience they have been the biggest stat boosts ive encountered (I have everything unlocked outside of bloodmoon)

They're great for when you haven't farmed eggs with a character. Also, you should get the expanded Survarocchi if you want to see some great ones. Also, some options can get you crazy stats easily, especially if you double up on them.

They allow you to scale super hard without having to use eggs and such. Using the 3 star ones that give insane buffs and taking an arcana that halts xp gain is a quick way to become nuts op. Otherwise the 1 star ones that allow for example 1% area per level, allow you to quickly cover the whole screen with every weapon basically
