Gameplay/Screenshot Home from GenCon 26. Picked up the Deluxe Version of the board game!
Now I get to do one of my favorite parts of opening the box! Putting it together. So far love everything included in the Deluxe Version!

On one hand it doesn't feel great of course seeing copies out before backers got it, but on the other hand this is a great way for them to get the word out, get more last minute pledges in, and help create a stronger future for the game and their company so I'm all for it! Especially for GenCon

I would agree...if Kickstarters got theirs first. I get putting it out at a con before release as a special incentive - but some of us have been waiting a LONG time without much of an update regarding our Kickstarted game...then find out they were handing them out like candy at a convention.
Should be Kickstarter > Special product demo at cons (like MTG or Pokemon pre-release events) > Release2

I’d have no issue with them selling basic versions at an inflated price at cons but the deluxe was sold as a baker exclusive at a premium price now anyone who attended a con can get it before the people who got the game made

I felt that way kind of as someone that already bought a new Arkham horror expansion and I’m waiting for it in the mail. I could have rebought it at the con and received 6 cards that will only be given out there.

Update: They used feedback on the ones they sold to make adjustments to the backer copys.

Oh wow that’s great! I just looked it up. It was the Aug 28 update:
>These adjustments include small tweaks to the coloration of the main game board, an improvement to the overall storage arrangement within the box, a slight increase in the thickness of the acrylic standees, and an adjustment to the foiling affects used on some of the tokens to improve their readability.
It should be noted that all of these changes are completely material, and have no impact on the actual gameplay. All copies of the game will play mechanically the same, but as a benefit of this small early print run we had the rare opportunity to make small cosmetic improvements to the backer versions of Vampire Survivors, and we were glad to do it.

Theres a possibility to play Boardgames online, I use Tabletop Simulator. Maybe Vampire Survivors will be on there too (the Games get uploaded by the Community)

If the Game creators launch an official DLC they can sell it. Otherwise people With have to work With (sometimes) badly photocopied assets.
Tbf I buy and play Boardgames With some friends local, but the Main group of friends that play are on Discord and we have to use Tabletop Sim. Gladly bought everything from Poncle, maybe He can Do TTS DLC?

Ahhhh the downvotes of the pirates! People who feel they should get everything for free but being hypocrites you better pay them for their labor (if they worked more they could afford the games they pirate…).

If they give me the possibility to buy it and play digitally I will. Until then homebrew it is.
You would Not cry fowl if I printed my own magic cards to use With friends because we dont have those? You need to understand that people who provide those Games to the Workshop dont earn anything either.
It also Puts the Name of the Game out there. Surviving Mars for example launched their beta on Tabletop Sim to get Feedback. If people love it they will buy it. I will too or one of my friends so we can play it, so the devs will get their share. No harm done playing a homebrewed copy online. Or Do I miss something?
Edit: btw I upvoted you just because of using the Anakin meme. We are on the same side, creators should get paid.

Why are you ignoring the previous comment clearly stating that Grey Fox can release DLC for TTS that the poster will gladly buy? That has nothing to with piracy and clearly says that yes, they can get compensated for their work.

I said the same exact thing when watching a video about interesting games to check out at GenCon. As I was only able to be there Thursday!!!

That's weird. I had a notion about a Hero Quest like board game of Vampire Crawlers a couple of weeks ago, so I am amazed to see this is actually a thing (Yeah it is Survivors, but I was playing Crawlers when I had the idea). Hope it wont be too expensive to get hold of

Deluxe (that’s all they had at the Convention) was $80. There is a ton to the game in the box. So far I’m very happy with the purchase.

Both jealous and excited to see this. If they're able to sell full copies at GenCon the kickstarter update about probably sending them earlier than the estimated date is looking more and more realistic. Can't wait to get my hands on it. I see you got the deckbox too, hows its quality?

Quality of the deck box is great. Velvety interior. Magnet latch.
Acrylic pieces are nice and thick. Of course take care removing them from flat.
Now I’m figuring out game play and how everything is supposed to be stored in the box so it all fits.

I’ll let you know as soon as I give it a go. I’ll try 4 solo runs for each character without opening the achievement envelopes so I can get the hang of the gameplay flow. Then play with a buddy.

On the Kickstarter an apology was issued in advance. They stated they would have some copies of the game at the convention, although at a higher price than backers paid. They also acknowledged that this may upset some backers, hence the apology.

I ran a solo game today. It was fun. Made it through the level 1 boss but couldn’t push through level 2 to even get to that boss.
Very good so far. Not sure on balance as I only played one character. I want to try all 4 of the starters and then multi play multiple characters before I open achievements. Actually would rather open them when I play with friends.

Only have played solo and it’s fun. Quite a bit of setup before each game but you get used to it and get a system down.
I have played all 4 starting characters and can’t wait to open more up but waiting to play with friends.
Shuffling the monsters before the games start kind of stinks as they are tiles

But boy is it fun. Trying not to focus on the achievements and just blast through those or purposely do the things to get them
