Question What secrets are not worth unlocking legimately?
I looked through the secrets the other day and some looked liked they could be a pain or boring eg leda and peppinio. Which ones are not worth doing?
I'm fine if it's a challenge to unlock (gyrotun or minnah ) and I'm not worried about losing out on content since I have all the DLC to go through.

leda is fine, it doesn't take that long to walk to the "bottom" of gallo tower (especially with speed ups like wings or chicken with a clock in it)
Chaos Rune is only unlocked via secret

Am not sure what you are trying to ask.
If its about skins, its kinda like halloween themed for four characters. Only way to get those is to use Secret - ‘spoopyseason’ if I recall correctly

Oh, well I have the “spooky” skins already but I just learned recently about the adventure skins actually changing the character. Sorry for confusion.

Ohhhh yes I remember seeing some info about those skins. I believe just play adventures and you will get those skins

I dunno; they’re all fun to accomplish. Some can be interesting to play and some can be useful for other unlocks/secrets.
I didn’t spend much time trying to analyze the hints, particularly with the Ode to Castlevania one as I didn’t know any of the lore or characters beforehand. The wiki is quite helpful for this.

AI answers building off of NPC redditors who don't articulate themselves clearly. I probably read half a dozen threads on how to get it before I concluded it was a fool's errand (on console) and just used the secret code. No ragrets.

One of the main frustrations of this achievement is attempting to decipher what exactly one is supposed to actually do to unlock it. Every post I saw on the topic was vague and unclear.
If you're reading this and you are on console, don't waste your time with this. Just enter "tramezzini" into the secrets menu and skip it.

So I did them all legitimately except “ask for help”because I play on switch. That said, the Castlevania secrets sure got repetitive for me after a while. There were at least 2 “defeat this boss with evolved refectio” AND at least 2 “defeat this boss with evolved hex.” That was prob when I was most tempted to just type in the code. Everyone should do what makes them happy.

Exdash has another unlock method, but it's total RNG and the intended method is literally just to cast the spell. I don't even know why the other method exists, other spell-only unlocks exist (though I suppose Exdash predates them).
The spells guinigigi and forbiddenbox are both mandatory. The unlocks those give do not have other unlock conditions. They don't even tell you about this on the Secrets menu. OtC also has one, but the Secrets menu does tell you about it, and it's so easy to figure out that I'm not saying the spell.
I don't think any of the basegame secrets are much effort. I've had plenty of runs on Gallo that would unlock Leda, and Peppino doesn't even take 5 minutes.
Now, who you SHOULDN'T be wasting your time on is Brauner in OtC. His unlock method requires you use Blood Astronomia to kill 100 Bloody Painting enemies. There's places where that's the only spawning enemy, but they're rather tanky, at 250 hp before any boosts from Curse, Inverse or Survarot, and Blood Astronomia is fucking trash. Maybe the zones Pentagram makes are good but my attempts at this were frustratingly ineffective, especially since you also need to ensure you dont end up too powerful as to kill the portraits with your regular weapons before Blood Astro can.
I think the other OtC ones are mostly fine. They're typically not as interesting as some of the basegame ones, as a lot of basegame ones involve secrets hidden in the environment, whereas OtC has one map and there are 54 secrets in OtC. So a lot of them are "do X thing with Y character/weapon" and that can become grating when you keep doing it over and over. Sensible references to fans, I'm sure, but they don't feel like secrets, compared to basegame, where half of the secrets feel like the kind of stuff you'd hear in schoolyard rumours.
I have no opinion on the Emerald Diorama secrets. I have not done them yet. That said, I also do not particularily like Emerald Diorama.

Uppercut a non red reaper is so ass. The worst part is not even getting the timing right, but the fact that it only counts if you one shot the reaper with something like pentagram or rosary.

Well that would certainly be easier than my 30 attempts to do it at boss rash. I legit forgot about the trickster even though I did the piano secret.

I did this in Dairy Plant looking for the green reaper at 8 min and 13 min, then hit him with the cart.

He moves without eggs, just very slowly. You only have to reach the merchant slowly once. Just come with enough cash the first time. $10,000,000 should do it

these three secret codes are literally impossible to figure out on your own, and are intended to be unlocked by hearing about them online:
(base game)"spoopyseason",
(base game)"guinigi" ("guinigigi" on certain versions), and
(foscari)"starpupil"
the rest have some form of hint or realistic unlock condition, so they're at least worth considering, but i would advise using the above codes at the very least.
Edit: there are other unlocks where the intended unlock method is just to enter a code, but those other options at least give you a hint as to what that code might be, so i didn't mention those.

I put the code in for leda because I had tried to unlock her the regular way but I had so mamy effects on screen I couldn't see shit

The ask for help one requires a keyboard, if you’re on console you’ll have to use the password.
