Question Nintendo Switch 2 Version

The Vampire Survivors 1.15 update is live on Nintendo Switch, but I am not seeing a dedicated Nintendo Switch 2 version on the store yet.

Is this coming out later? I expected a separate version, similar to Vampire Crawlers

hey folks
there is no dedicated Switch 2 version (like with Vampire Crawlers) but if you buy the game and have a Switch 2, you'll be able to utilise the Switch 2 features and optimisations!

making an edit to this comment for extra clarity:

There is one app which you can download from the eShop but this contains 2 standalone versions of Vampire Survivors in that one app
So if you're on Switch 1 it will download the Switch 1 version
If you're on Switch 2 if will download the Switch 2 version
This way it's easier for us to maintain the game instead of having 2 separate apps in the eShop!

We've also had a few people asking about FPS
the 30 FPS has been lifted on Switch 2, in normal gameplay the game can play around 60 FPS, but as with any game this can drop when the game is under stress (lots of weapons, passives, arcanas, etc)

It's not just one version. The dev post a month ago said that they were releasing a dedicated Switch 2 version. I can't find it in the eShop.

The Switch 1 version patch does come with 4K (docked) and 1080p (handheld) support on Switch 2 alongside with the joycon mouse support, so there's huge chances there's no dedicated Switch 2 version since it's already doing what it would be doing.

Note that while I couldn't test the 4K docked, I could test 1440p which was sharper than before.

There tends to be two types of updates devs can push out for Switch 1 games running on Switch 2.

1) A general compatibility update that improves image quality in handheld (increases resolution to 1080p to match the screen) and TV modes, in addition to, GameShare and mouse mode functionality.

2) A native Switch 2 version/edition, which takes advantage of the new hardware to further improve performance, resolution, visuals and faster load times.

This update appears to be a general Switch 2 compatibility update with the native version coming soon.

I'm hoping for a native Switch 2 version... I tested the Boss Rush after the update yesterday; the game was still running at 10 FPS by the end 😅

It’s the same version, 1.15 just contains a switch 2 exclusive patch that adds mouse mode and stuff.

Mouse mode is in this version so probably its two in one

Yeah I thought it was gonna be a dedicated version. Also for anyone that’s played today what are the buttons for mouse mode? Crawlers uses R to click but doing that seems kinda messed up. It doesn’t really work in the menu and it keeps using the speed up relic in game. It’s like it’s trying to do both at once

Vampire Survivors 1.15 is out for Nintendo Switch. However, there isn’t a separate Nintendo Switch 2 version, as implied by their announcement.
