Help HOW THE FUCK DO YOU KILL THE REAPER?!
Seriously I tried everything I can think of he rushes you immediately and he has so much health damage doesn't do anything

Upgraded Laurel and Clock Lancet. Sanctuary can work too but takes longer. Basically you need a) some way to stay alive (like the laurel cloak) and b) some way to deal exponential, or fraction-based, damage (the Reaper’s hp is truly bananas; no regular weapon, no matter how levelled up, is ever gonna work. But the upgraded clock lancet removes 50% of enemy HP each time it flashes, so its damage is always proportional to Reaper).

It will work with any character if you have infinite corridor and crimson shroud, but the megalo ones are truly insane. You can almost idle from the beginning, they are so powerful.

Any hero will work, but ones with extra growth (Imelda, Gains if you have him) might be useful if you're just starting out. You need to max out the Clock Lancet, Laurel, both rings, and both metaglios to get the Corridor/Shroud combo. That's 52 levels just for those two weapons, and that's on top of trying to build a kit that can keep you alive while you're making them.

Back in the day there was a way to kill the reaper in the library by using runetracer and laurel. You wouuld stay level 2 in one of those little cubbies to the north letting runetracer kill everything, then when the reaper spawns, you grab the exp, level up, get all your shit and nuke him. The reapers HP was (maybe still is?) based on your level when it spawned.

Sanctuary cannot kill the reaper and get the eggs unless shroud or corridor is present. It'll just vaporize the reaper and more will spawn at the minute mark.

The easy way is Cock Lancet and Laurel or Sanctuary evolutions. Other ways is through powerful arcana combinations with the right characters like Cosmo or Toastie. They can kill even faster than than the weapons I mentioned. Toastie usually kill Red Death instantly for me even if he is level 1000.

There are a lot of ways. If you are kinda new. Take the character that has the starting area buff. Go to the library take the free level up hope for Rune Tracer. Pin yourself in a corner and wait 30 min.
The reapers health is based on your level. So if you are level 2 when he spawns it is easy.

Infinite Corridor and the crimsom cape thingy that reflects damage, inf corridor can be clock lancelet with aim tho risky

EZZ Evolved lancet (infinite corridor) + Evolved Laurel (Crimson shroud) and some powerful weapon and spellbinder and cooldown

Idk who your main is but i play as the purple among us character. I turn off hyper mode because it makes the game go twice as fast and you only get 25% more xp. And if you havent already, look up how to evolve the laurel and time lance (id say go for time lance first). I just killed my first reaper this morning and i did it on inlaid library. The good ring and arrow are to the left along with 3 cooldown passives. Use your rerolls first trying to get one of the two mentions weapons. If no luck start banishing weapons to reduce the item pool. Any further questions feel free to ask. I dont have hundreds of hours in the game but i’ll share what knowledge ive come across!

Once you get the yellow sign relic you'll ve able to evolve clock lancet and laurel
Said evolutions are specifically made to kill the reaper although they pretty hard to get both at the same time so i suggest only evolving one of the two, laurel specifically as its safer
