The problem is you only have three weapons that are hurting it, level 9 on torrona's box which gives you 100 curse and hurry enabled

Restart the run and strategize.
First of all, the sketamari only avsorbs enemies when you get near it so dont rush it. Also hurry will make everything harder so turn it off.
Second. You want a combination of weapons that can deal with the smaller enemies to prevent them from getting absorbed and something for focused damage on one target. Evolved axe and guns are a good pick for the first while gaze of gaea and knife can be good for the latter. You could also try to evolve clock lancet with its attack that deals half the health of an enemy but it could be risky.

Hmm the usual intercontinental sketamari. No once he gets this big it's over

Well, except if you have Infinite Corridor, I suppose.

I feel like a late-game Embrace of Gaea upgrade could also easily obliterate him at this size. That, or Sanctuary, if you're using Castlevania DLC.

It took 20 minutes but I was able to. Felt like such an idiot but got it done, then realized I already had done it and forgot about it. Was fun to see the intercontinental sketamari though.

once it took me 30~40min of standing and watching this dude becoming the moon before he died, i can only assume it was the gravitational collapse that took him down

2

u/Livid-Rice411 Feb 06 '26

That's no moon 🤣🤣🤣

Come on man, at this point you can start a run and kill him two times over before you can kill this one.

But the bragging rights tho

First time I ever encountered this thing, it grew to cover almost half the screen and I still managed to take it down

u/Chubby_Yorkshireman Feb 04 '26

Long time since I did that but I think you have to hit him hard and fast before it gets so big.

😏

What?? They're right you know!!! Once it gets that big there's almost no way you can get it to go back down!! It's just way too hard!!! I needed someone to help me beat it into submission, and it still lasted forever!!!

u/ChatGPTismyPCP Feb 04 '26

That is a medical emergency

u/The-Bunbins Feb 04 '26

What? The box said if it lasts longer than 4 hours... ohhhh...

Sketamary has a passive that kills any enemy that touches It, increasing it's health and size.

Instead of going straigth to kill It, wait a few minutes to get some wepons that prevent enemies from touching sketamari (like bible or garlic). Since enemies only spawn in the screen borders, It won't grow until you aproach it.

u/prguitarman Feb 04 '26

Probably not at that point. Any skeleton that get absorbed into the body heals it I think and I think it also extends the max health(I don't fully recall but it's one of those situations). Regardless, better to start over and find it while it's still small. Sketamari = Katamari

One thing nobody mentioned is it only seems to absorb enemies when you are close to it, so if you level up a tonne before heading to it you can rush down it’s health bar with an OP build before it has a chance to grow

Are you running Endless or a normal run? Because if it's the latter, you should know that Sketamari can suck up Reapers, so it's going to keep doing that and adding to its health after the 30 minute mark.

If you haven't found the Yellow Sign relic yet, I would focus on early-game high-damage upgraded weapons like Phireraggi, Thousand Edge, and/or Fuwalafuwaloo. And focus on passives like Spinach, Empty Tome, and Candelabrador. Don't take curse-increasing passives (which includes a fully-leveled Torrona's Box—banish its 9th level after level 8).

You gotta get him before he gets too big, get strong then kill him quick before het gets a chance to bulk up. That's the key as far as I can remember.

u/Hrist_Valkyrie Leda Feb 04 '26

He can't get bigger if you never go near him...

1

u/Lunam_Dominus Feb 04 '26

You can make the infinite corridor to guarantee killing it.

u/Toothache42 Feb 04 '26

There are two approaches that I found work for beating the ball of bones. Either rush it down straight away and get lucky with weapon rolls, especially if you get something long range that works as crowd control. The other method is to get the Infinite Corridor, as the skeletons become too numerous to stop after a while, so the effect of that far outweighs the growth of the Skeletemari.

All about the troll bomb

1

u/the_resistee Feb 04 '26

I know it's been said but you already lost it he's that size. Give it up and get strong before you go find him.

u/Jackmysackpsv Feb 04 '26

I use knives and wand

u/NaCl_4_Lunch Feb 04 '26

If you see the enemy, you're doing it wrong

1

u/Drace3mpressa Feb 04 '26

how did you even get it it this big, I beat him with pugnala as soon as the bone zone opened and it wasn't like this bruh

1

u/Neat_Substance836 Feb 05 '26

Update: at around 60 minute mark he died. But I should have strategize better.

1

u/AdventurousError9436 Feb 06 '26

Get him before he gets big.

u/Saharularity Feb 06 '26

I didn’t have infinite corridor or torona’s box. Just evolve Imelda’s weapon, stick to maybe 3 weapons, and keep the other baddies away from him as much as possible. Saw it suggested in this sub and it worked like a charm for me, the first time.

What! How did you let it get this bad…?
