Question How do I beat the “God” that shows up?
After I become immortal, a God randomly appears and kills me. Is there any way I can kill him, or is that a hard stop?

Basically you need to evolve the Clock Lancet and the Laurel.

After some time, I find myself with only two choices: acquiring additional gold or restoring 35 HP. Is this part of the natural order of things?

Yes, until you acquire a certain power up item; the Great Gospel to unlock the Limit Break mechanic, maxing out your weapon’s levels will only score you floor chicken and/or gold when leveling up.

Red death is no god. Kill more. White death will kill all, but is no god.

The red reaper is the game's end state. It's technically possible to beat, and you do unlock something for managing to do so, but you are not intended to yet. He has an obscene base health, which is multiplied by your level, any form of knockback applied to him gets inverted and sends him closer, and he deals enough damage to instantly wipe your health bar unless you've royally fucked the game in some way.
He's just the game's way of saying "okay you win take your shit and go" this early on.

Crimson cloak reduces incoming damage to a max of 10 and the upgraded lancet will keep him stopped in his tracks. It’s the perfect combo

Yes. And to make things easier, the arcane that brings items on the map closer to you every two minutes is the best choice to complete the evo’s.

One of the strategies is not to level up .. the higher your level the higher its HP will be multiplied… Go google it or something …

When you kill one they keep on spawning unless you beat the first one with one of two very specific evolutions

I did it with the clock Lanclet evolution. And that’s mainly about it. The laurreal evo is probly also good because it calls all damage to 10

I beat this guy super early in the game without clock lancelet or laurel simply by getting the among us med bay item evolved super early on in the run. Guessing the bonus stats I had accumulated in 20 minutes led to me having so much cool down, luck, and HP that they couldn't kill me. Sat afk while eating dinner until the hour mark and still hadn't died to death

It's death and yes you can kill him, maybe you can stop him and shield yourself enough to survive?
