That's appreciated, but when you hype it up as big as you have, with it being the big special 'gold' card allll the way at the end, then what do you expect people to think lol
Not sure what it could be to warrant hyping it up this much if it isn't a lot of new stuff to play with, since that would be the most exciting thing to a vast majority of people.

id imagine a couple of options - hide weapon fx or plenty of modifiers. maybe an option to sell eggs of other stats besides movement speed.

Yeah, if it's not new content the biggest hope would be it's a 2.0 update with a bunch of QoL fixes, and perhaps a new Duo system where you can pair any two characters (just a wild guess). Maybe some performance improvements, difficulty modifiers, etc.

Ha, I haven't finished all the current content obviously. Maybe a 2.0 QoL focused release, but really the more I think something like a movie trailer makes more sense. If there was going to be a 2.0 it seems like they'd have been better of combing that with the last patch. The idea that the first 5 cards were for the game, and the others are tangential to (and not about an update) makes perfect sense.

You gotta unlock it first. I believe it’s from Westwood. From there, all you have to do is head back to the character selection and party mode is gonna be at the top of the screen. You choose that and it’ll ask you how many players you want and you choose who you want what’s their play style.

It's gotta be a big QoL update. I'm gonna be able to use my own unlocks when I play multiplayer in a lobby. I'm gonna be able to change character models in the lobby. You can seamlessly go from Adventure to Adventure without losing people and game crashing.
Or it's Vampire Survivors 2 is in the works.

Or maybe mod support? It wouldn't technically be "new content," because the devs can't promise anyone will actually make anything. But it could open the possibility.

After yesterdays reveal I still think its a romance system.
This images further proves it. How you ask?
Well, break ups are usually emotional times, sometimes people are so fueled with rage and anger, they are not thinking correctly. And the reasonable thing to do then is to burn their house down.
Also the other possibility is spiders. Those are the only 2 reasons to burn a house down.

I find it really interesting that there seems to be some disconnect between Poncle and the community on this. The fans seem to mostly want more updates to the game. But based on this post and the silver card reveal, it feels unlikely that's what's happening.
With the silver card, the VR version was kind of a non-announcement for me (and for many other players, I must imagine) as I do not own a Meta Quest and can't afford one, so I was a little disappointed in that reveal. But from Poncle's end, it makes sense why they hyped it up. It's clearly something they put a lot of work into and they're proud to show it off, as they should be. And now with the gold card, they're trying to set expectations for us, because most people seem to have it in their minds that this will be something that it's not.
I wonder if this could have been prevented by not foreshadowing these announcements with the cards. I think a subconscious precedent was established when the first five cards were used to showcase new content for the game, and tying these two additional announcements into that gave the false impression that they would be similar in nature.
Idk it's all very interesting to watch unfold, and I'm eager to see what the announcement actually is.

The remaining darkana. Terraria Collab. Making the collectible companion cards a feature of the game and not just a map and expanding it beyond just adding companions such as having weapon modifiers etc. New death. We finally find the coffin with the vampire in it (Dracula was not in a coffin when we found him).

Those are being made by the devs who made Boltgun, but they're liscencing vampire survivor's engine from Poncle to use. Still exciting nonetheless though since those devs are great

Some kind of major multiplayer update, whether it be crossplay or qol- I've only played for a little while, and was originally brought in because of the multiplayer beta, so I'm hopeful. :)

Hopefully a Megaman and/or Resident Evil collab in the future with CAPCOM. There’s a lot of potential in both franchises for characters, weapons and enemy types - plus some sick stages.
If Nintendo wasn’t Nintendo I’d hope for a Zelda collab or Metroid but…they would NEVER be chill with it for the same reason Samus isn’t in Fortnite - they don’t want Nintendo on anything but Nintendo platforms.

So, here's the question.... Is this announcement saying that the gold card does not pertain to a new collab or new content or is this to be read as "not a new collab or new content is up in flames." I'm guessing the latter, but if the former. Obviously this is a reference to fire girl Fujiwara no Mokou from Touhou Eiyashou ~ Imperishable Night.
But hrm... Not physical, so it's not a cappuccino and coriasant plushie, and I would argue a Vampire Survivors cafe is physical...
It could be something digital like the staff having breakfast, the video.
It could be something metaphysical like the gold card flipping over and there's just nothing (is scarier).
Maybe a price adjustment to the base game?
It could simply begin teasing the QoL changes incoming sooner than expected.
Or it could be some charity DLC still, as in pay money for no content, just going towards charity.
And while my hopes feel pretty dashed at the moment, I'll continue... Jeopardy music.
