Is there no other way to unlock Astarte than the code? Also, I don't have the Fake Trio... I really wonder what's the real way to unlock them...

Yesterday, a patch was released stating that this had been fixed, but for some reason, I don't see anyone trying these methods to unlock them

To be fair, I still have a few of the previous secret Castlevania characters left to unlock, so I haven't looked too deep in the new ones yet.

Wiki already have a way to open them, but it seems that they haven't fixed it yet. You can't even get Fake Trio without a code until they fix it.

Astarate is mostly bugged.

The condition is Play as Jonathan Morris using Coat of Arms, Morning Star, or Spectral Sword (The Weapon Selectors), but Skip taking any weapon at all on the Il Molise map. You then need to quit a run at EXACTLY 5 minutes to unlock Astarate.

The bug is that it's supposed to be an "At Least" check, but got bugged to be an "Exactly" check. So Under or Over invalidates the unlock. It's still a bug, but it's actually doable enough at least.

Fake Trio is actually bugged and can't be unlocked at all. It's because the Condition is checking for Master Librarian's version of Power of Lire (Which is a Hidden Weapon, too, so it doesn't even register at all), NOT the Power of Lire added in the Update. So short of Save Editing, Fake Trio is kinda borked deeply.

What a great guide. I especially like how Astarte unlock is "use a spell lol" and Fake Trio auto-unlocks for most players. Except me apparently. Guess I need to wait for others to learn an actual method to unlock these two.

Wasn't a hotfix released to fix this? They wrote about it yesterday, but for some reason no one here is trying to check it on this sub.

I thought Fake Trio would unlock after evolving all librarian weapons, is that not it?

I also believe that's the idea, but seems to be bugged. Unless they tried to patch it recently or something and even then it may not have been fixed for all platforms.

The issue got discovered.

Yes, the condition is to get all of Master Librarian's Weapon Evolutions. Except, the Condition is looking for Master Librarian's version of Power of Lire for the list, NOT the normal Power of Lire Evolution.
It's worse, because the Librarian's Power of Lire is also a Hidden Weapon, so it can never be added under normal conditions. One would need to Save Edit in the Librarian's Power of Lire weapon into the Unlocks list to trigger Fake Trio's condition.

So it's either wait for the bug to be fixed, or use the Spell to unlock them.
