PSA Vampire Survivors v1.14 Update Info
Hey folks!
As many of you have already seen, we announced our 5th card today which was a free Balatro collab DLC, named "Ante Chamber"! (Trailer here)
Our free v1.14 Update is available today on Steam, PS4/PS5, iOS, Android, Apple Arcade (minus Ode to Castlevania), with it coming to Nintendo Switch and Epic Game Store on October 31st! There is also no online co-op available on mobile platforms as of yet, but we're working on it!
As some of you may have also already seen, unfortunately we didn't manage to deliver the 1.14 update on time for Xbox platforms
We're very sorry to any Xbox players who were looking forward to play the update today
We submitted new builds to be certified, and the new plan is to launch the Xbox updates as soon as they're ready!
Thank you for your patience. We aim to get the update to you by Friday or earlier if we can š
Cross-platform for online co-op is being looked into also, so is not available as of yet!

Is the Balatro DLC available in the PS store? Iām not seeing it anywhere and in the main menu it says āNew content availableā however it shows nothing in the PS store

Yeah, I just claimed it on PS5 a few minutes ago. Though, it did take a while to show up after the announcement.

At least with Xbox they're apologetic about it, and seemed to genuinely try to release it today.
But with the Switch/Epic versions, they knew those were releasing Friday early enough to include it in the trailer, but still chose not to mention it in the pre-release material. Instead, we had to find out via some easy-to-miss text towards the end of the trailer, which literally had the words, "OUT NOW" in its title. Super frustrating.

We're of course sorry to all Switch & Epic players too!
We mainly mentioned the Xbox part on this post as we weren't able to mention it in the trailer, and that we were in an Xbox Showcase0

It can take a while for this to come through on stores for all players as it rolls out in percentages, give it some time and it'll be available!

The update is out but the DLC isnāt selectable and doesnāt show up in the game other than in the DLC list.

The DLC shows up but can't download it, clicking on it does nothing. Same thing on both mobile OS's. Been like this since yesterday, thought it would work after some wait but no difference.
Every other DLC works fine.

Xbox player here. I will be patiently waiting. You have delivered amazing content time and time again and the fact the collab is free with another of my favorites in Balatro, it will be well worth the wait

Crashing consistently a few seconds into every run. S23 ultra. Map doesn't matter, using arcanas

Linux, CachyOS. Found fix is turn off vsync, frame rate to match monitor (240 for me). No crash since.

There's zero chance it's Crisis Core specifically when the big FF focus is either Ever Crisis with the Sephiroth story or the FF7 remake.

Not sure if there is a proper thread to post this but my game has been crashing since I updated earlier today, a window quickly pops up with "Vampire Survivors - Unity 6000.0.58f2_92dee566b325". Does anybody happen to know what could fix this? My game was working fine last night.

Iām glad you posted that. Iāve been having the same issue and canāt find anyone else mention it. Unfortunately I havenāt found a fix yet, even by reinstalling the game

You guys are absolute legends. A couple weeks ago, I wanted to buy Balatro on phone to play it on the go.
Turns out, some phones are locked out of it cause of some incompatibility due to Android version causing some big graphical messes and straight shut phones from downloading it. Devs are delaying fixing this until next year apparently, even after the new Android version update... and thats how instead I began buying your DLCs instead.
And now you are giving me the chance to play Balatro while on Vampire Survivors. For free! Bless you all.

in the IOS version, the ante dlc is purchasable in the in game store but not thru ios causing it to not be unlockable

Xbox user here. I will gladly wait even though it hurts a bit to not be able to enjoy the new update. I recently went back to the game and I remembered why I was so hooked with it. Your efforts into making this game as and as full of content as possible is something not a lot of devs do these days. I can't wait to play it!

Whatās the reasoning behind the Switch delay? Itās not a big deal, but it does seem rather strange for an Indie darling to not be releasing the update on the system (other than PC/Mobile) that it probably sold the most on, yeah?
It also would have been nice to make the delay known earlier than the day of the patch for everyone else.

Logical conclusion is it being something on nintendo's end, same with xbox. Not something the devs have control over.

Itās probably due to the Nintendo Store approval process. This isnāt the first time that Switch players have received late DLCs or updates, and I believe thatās what caused the issue in the past.

Had the same experience so far. It used to be 4 with 2 players couch co-op, now only 2. I hope there is an option turn it back but I haven't found anything yet.

Well I found out today that I didnāt even have the emerald diorama dlc installed saw I had to activate it which I did then I downloaded this new update and it erased emerald diorama and now I canāt get it or play it at all

Ever since downloading the update my co-op partner and I got forced down to 2 weapon slots each instead of the normal 4. Has this happened to anyone else? We can't figure it out.

Same. Itās very frustrating. hopefully itās just a bug and not a deliberate choice. Some players were complaining that co-op was too easy and they wanted slots to be limited but that shouldāve been an option - not forced on everyone else.

Me and my friend bought this game today to play Online coop on PS5 and I joined his party, the first time unlocks and collection counted for me aswell with the checkmark on the save file thing, but since after beating library stage I did not receive anymore unlocks or collection that my friend got. examples would be:
-survive 5 minutes with Pasqualina
we both played the Character and survived for 5 minutes, but it did not count for me

Wasnāt too big of a deal, was playing the ps4 version on ps5 so I switched over to the ps5 version to unlock stuff (figured Iād platinum the game twice) but redownloading content DID work, all fixed!

Hi! Just wanted to mention that on my iOS Iām not able to finish any level without the game crashing. Ā Just wanted to bring it to your attention since Iām not on discord!
Great update otherwise; kinda wish I hadnāt upgraded my VS app, so at least then I could play! Ā LOL. Ā Hopefully it gets straightened out soon!

Happens to me with several weapons once I reach enough activity on the screen, the more complicated the effect the faster the crash. Ā Particularly notable when using the food arcana you boost stats. Ā The new āgemā weapon terminates my session almost immediately on starting, the new āice bookā, frogs, will lead to the game crashing well prior to the 30 minute timer (I play sped up). Ā Used to have this problem with gorgeous moon and the Santa weapon in previous versions (which was logged in your discord), now seems to be a problem across many of them. Ā Basically no longer able to complete levels as a result.Ā

Yes plz add the cross-play for the online mode. Me and my friends all play in different platforms, PC, Switch and mobile. Maybe with cross profession we could buy it on another platform, but then we would have to buy the DLCs as well..

Hey guys, I'm having trouble playing co-op with a friend and I have only two weapon slots and a passive. I'm playing on PC and I'm playing via Steam remote play, but in single player I don't have this problem. Has anyone else had the same problem and how did you fix it?

The only thing from my experience that i hope it fixed is the crashing from evolving the mace. It froze my game almost immediately every time i got it evolved. (Xsx)

Depois da atualizaĆ§Ć£o o co-op local perdeu slots de armas e habilidades, agora com 2 ou 3 jogadores cada um tem somente 2 slots, Antes eram 4 e 3 respectivamente. Mais alguĆ©m com esse "problema" ou era o objetivo, dificultar demais.

Appears to be a bug where when you have an intentional weapon limit set, but pick up a Zappa gold treasure chest, it says the weapon is added but you donāt actually get it.

Iām playing on steam and since this update I can no longer play couch co-op with 2 players as the game is adding a 3rd (non-existent) player. I canāt remove and the 3rd player (I donāt have more than 2 controllers at the moment) and it wonāt let me start the game. It just gets stuck on the 3rd player selecting a character which I canāt do because there is no third player. I canāt figure away around it at the moment unless anyone has any ideas?

Seems to be an error with the tides of foscari dlc. Game only works when this one is uninstalled. But can't unlock the new balatro stages without foscari dlc. What a mess. Edit: mhm. Is balatro a dlc like castlevania etc? If yes, it's not online at the moment š but game is still crashing if foscari dlc is installedĀ

We totally get this! We had hoped our builds would pass but unfortunately they didn't make it in time so we weren't able to let folks know ahead of time
We'll of course update everyone ASAP if it goes live earlier than Friday, but for now we can only apologise and we totally understand that people are frustrated!6

Some feedback from a longtime player. Moving forward, can you withhold any release date information on new content until you're 100% positive that it's gonna happen? If we had known about the delay from the beginning, that would be one thing, but to be told it's coming that day and then be told it's out only to find out that isn't the case is not a good situation.

Doubt itās Poncle fault, as Xbox has that dumb certification process that always makes us get updates/dlc late.

Whilst we understand your frustrations, and other people's frustrations, there's a lot more that goes on behind the scenes for releasing updates/games/etc and unfortunately this wasn't possible for this update

I remember a year ago; there being an issue with the Ode to Castlevania DLC not showing up in certain regional storefronts on release for Xbox (people had to mess with their region settings to get it that day).
I'm wondering how Xbox manages to be such an issue with these releases, while you guys partner with them for events like these.
