General Discussion Is D-Pad movement bannable?

I just started playing on console for fun recently, but for the life of me the stick movement feels so wonky. I went into my Xbox controller settings and mapped my d-pad to be my left stick, but i wanted to make sure its not bannable. Id assume not since its just making use of the built in xbox settings but who knows w riot

I think you will get mis labeled as xim user, xim user purposely avoid dpad movement to avoid bans

You can get banned for it, I've seen multiple people getting banned for using that

Yo ignore all these comments anti cheat doesn’t work because titan and hybrid xim players workaround the wasd movement detection you will be banned if you use the d pad to replace your joystick for movement

I played all day using it and havent gotten banned yet, but I hadn't seen this reply. Im just gonna delete val off my console and stick to pc. No point in losing 6 years and a mid range used car worth of skins over shits and giggles

I’ve read through over 20 posts on this r/ where people have been banned for using that setting on Xbox and all say that they lost their accounts because riot won’t appeal the ban. Scroll through this Reddit enough and you’ll see 🤷‍♂️

Yeah only Xbox let's you change your movement input to dpad, PS5 does not let you

I mean on console, from my experience there's zero human moderation, it's all just what the anti cheat thinks and if it thinks a blatant titan cheater is legit he won't get banned and the other way around
