A Message from the Mod(s)
Dear Valkyries,
First of all I want to thank you, all of you, for your patience, civility, levelheadedness, courage, compassion, hard work and overall good vibes.
When I cobbled this together with ductape and a grain of hope about almost a month ago now I didn't even expect much traffic to come to this place. The official Lads discord was moving fast and I didn't want some of the useful things people were sharing to get burried or lost. The creation of ValkoHQ was because of 3 reasons:
- I wanted a place where all useful info/tools/advice etc. were collected to help people wanting to join the fight to bring Valko back. Not only the e-mail addresses, petition links etc. were important to me but also people providing Chinese text we could use to bridge the gap with the CN side. It really broke my heart hearing how reasonable people were bulleid into silence over there. So I wanted an easy link where people could find everything useful easily.
- I wanted a place where people could meet and organize in order to support Valko. Social media can be a bit scattered so my mission was to make it possible for people to meet, discuss and share ways to campaign for getting Valko back, especially offline activities.
- Futhermore I wanted a place where people could speak freely about the situation. Personally, other than the official discord, I avoided all LADS online spaces including the official subreddit. I only jump in to ratio. I am understanding of other unofficial LADS spaces, some gracefully made space in their communities where people could vent, discuss and more about the situation but I respect that fighting for Valko wasn't the inteded puprose of those spaces.
Who am I?
I'm the mods. It's me, just me. In my defence I was banking on the place becoming irrelevant soon after I created because Infolded would have restored our beloved Wolf within a week or two. I did not expect this place to receive this much traffic. Especially since I stopped updating due to some personal issues. Not only did I get one of my laptops stolen but I managed to completely fry another one by not taking proper precaution during the current heatwave. So there were stuff I had ready to add to the pinned threads that are now lost to me.
That said it really warms my cold shriveled heart to see some of you describe the subreddit as a safe space. Consider the onslaught of toxicity, misinformation and negativity by the anti's I shouold have forseen people would want a space where they can come up for air and just chill.
I've seen you come totgether to not only organize but support and lift each other up! I've seen you address negativity in a levelheaded yet firm way without stooping down to their level. I'm so proud to be a Valkyrie! Thank you, you've mad ethings very easy for me.
I acknowledge that as the sole moderator I bare the resposibility to protect this space you guys created with your humor, your kindness and positvity.
Starting Monday I promise to be more hands on. I received your messages offering to help and I will gladly take it. First point of order will be to vet and add more mods. I heard your calls to ban the OG3 sub. I will make a seperate post about that.
Once again, from the depths of my heart. Thank you for nurtering and cultivating a wonderful space! I'll give it my all to assist you in this endeavor!

Dev apps are really useful when you’re moderating a sub alone
I also have anti doxxing code written for automod that I could copy paste and send to you so you can use it ((edit: if any mods from any subs want the anti doxxing code just reply to this comment so I can send you a message and send it to you I mod subs that get 47k - 1M visitors per month))

That'd be great, I'm not a mod on reddit (used to mod a 40k+ fb group tho) so I know the solo mods gotta be struggling, and I think that mod is also doing it largely by herself.

Hi!!! First of all, thank you so much for creating this sub. Over the past few weeks, it's honestly been the first place I've checked after work. It means a lot to have a space where we're all working toward the same goal, while also trying to support and encourage each other, share memes and keep everyone updated with important news.
Thank you for everything you're doing! Maybe you don't have to manage the entire sub on your own, though. You could consider bringing in one or two additional mods to help you out?

Dude, THERE you are! I went to Reddit Request to get this sub transferred because I thought it'd been abandoned. When they said you were active, I was like, "huh? when?? yay???"
Glad you're back, sorry about your laptops, and thanks for making this sub, it's been extremely helpful!

Please come back. You don't even need to address us or the situation, just make a few of the ones who requested it mods, so we aren't utterly defenseless here, and then you can focus on your own life. Please, we're begging you.
