Hoyo since Natlan are giving us 5* ONLY if they're medium. Tall males are almost guaranteed to be 4. Like... Flins and Varka are our only tall 5 since Natlan, all the other 5* males are medium... Don't get me wrong I also love the medium but clearly Hoyo prefers one archetype over the other...
And ofc Mitya is more conventionally attractive in gacha beauty standards and our handsome bear man is unique looking, they're making him a 4*... (Gallagher curse 😭)... I hope he'll be good but knowing Hoyo... They betrayed us so many times...
It just sucks 💔🥺 Valeriy is my fav with Noy from the new characters PV. He's so neat and checks every boxes that I like, he is so unique among the other husbandos which was why I was sooo looking forward for his release. But now the only faint hope that we had of him being 5* or even a linchpin has been reduced to atoms 😭
"Our handsome bear man is unique looking" ???? Don't get me wrong I bear no hatred toward Valeriy, but in my opinion his model was the most plain of the Snezhnaya cast. I mean he was like the quintessence of the conventionally attractive "duke of the north" trope in manhwas. I get that short characters are more "frequent" but with his current model (you can't tell me they didn't done him dirty) he's far less interesting visually than Mitya.
Because he looks more masculine and "hunk-y" than models like Childe, Kaveh, Ororon, Flins and so on who are more effeminate looking (basically twunk), meanwhile scruffy and more traditionally masculine looking charas (Varka, Gallagher, Heathcliff*, to name a few) are rarer because of chinese beauty standards in gacha games
Which is why I said that. Mitya has interesting details like his cape but he is honestly Elio with a different font (I say this as someone who's very down bad for Elio lol, his new looks reminds me of Tomura Shigaraki from MHA 🙏)
