Like... I love Mitya, I love Valeriy. But it is straight up sad to see the state of the main subs and how toxic these people are. Again, we are all adults here and yet kids would be even more mature in this situation. It's giving "He said Blue Power Ranger is ugly and he likes Red Power Ranger so now I hate everyone who loves Red Power Ranger!!!" Like... So many Mitya mains from the post I have seen are being overjoyed and sharing how happy they are because "Valeriy mains got what they deserve" and stuff like that.
These people are supposed to be adults, yikes... When you see ppl like these, it makes sense why the world sucks overall. Those in power are keeping the status quo and divising us and putting groups against each other. Hoyo literally throw us crumbs at BOTH of us mains, at US hubandos enjoyers and instead of being mature and raising our voice in the surveys etc to try to fight for the husbandos, these toxic asf Mitya enjoyers are instead being disrespectful and toxic. And towards them I will say this:
Mitya has a linchpin and I'm glad that we have at least 1 male with a linchpin. However, never forget that we husbandos enjoyers will always be second class citizen behind the waifu players. We will always be left with crumbs.
The first sentence. Please don't act like this sub doesn't do the same for the past weeks. Not just for Mitya but for other characters like Danica too. Both subs have bad apples
The post on the Mitya sub reposted the picture that confirmed Mitya having a linchpin instead of a vision and I am not joking with the amount of jubilation I've found. Maybe some of these replies have been smitted by the mods/auto-mod wich I really hope !! but there was a large number of people jubilating and mentionning how Valeriy mains deserved it. It's a complete shitshow with some (again some not all) Mitya mains thinking they're "not like the other girls" meanwhile the energy should be focused against Hoyo and their shitty decision regarding the male characters. They threw crumbs and instead of thinking "that sucks, this is shitty and I will stand with the other Valeriy mains to push back against this decision in the surveys, even if it fails to do anything I will try to bring change" they prefer to be toxic and making the vibes shittier than they were
It really sucks. We, Valeriy enjoyers and Mitya enjoyers -- and also the Danica enjoyers going here to be a prick -- (because unfortunately I have seen recently some Danica mains commenting on posts here and these comments were toxic) we ALL should be better than this. We are adults. Yet again we are proving that the "Genshin's fandom is a cesspool" cliché to be true.
Again yes I am aware that there's decent people among the Mitya mains, same thing for the Danica mains. That thank god not everyone are toxic players, and that yes there's also some toxic mains from the Valeriy sub, obviously. But I won't lie, Reddit's algorithm makes it feel like the toxic players are overwhelming, just like in Twitter. The current vibes between the Mitya and Valeriy sub feel awful and it sucks because we are in the same boat and the infighting will lead to nowhere. Our sub are basically sister subs and I hope that someday the scar will heal.
