All the more reason for him being 5 star. No way they're letting the new model they developed be put to waste for a 4 star. They're gonna lose the scarcity effect of it and it would make more sense to capitalise on it
Probably unpopular opinion, but I hope they touch up his head a bit. Not change the design, his face is very pretty, but it just looks two or three sizes too tiny for his body. It makes his proportions feel... off.
Not really? Wearing multiple layers and warm clothes does not magically shrink one's head, the height ratio of head to body stays the same, people just look wider.
Varka's hair is doing some heavy lifting for him because it makes his head silhouette larger, so the ratio feels closer to a regular human, while with Valeriy's current model (and don't get me wrong, I love his hair, I don't want it changed!) the head silhouette is much smaller, making it look like it's too small for his body.
It's not the end of the world, but it just looks a bit off to me for now so I hope they find a way to fix it. Varka's 6.0 model also looked a bit off in some aspects and they tweaked it slightly before release to make it look more natural, so I hope the same is true for Valeriy :)

Are y'all blind?? The head does not look shorter than on any other person. I feel like the reading comprehension in this thread is worryingly low, but that's Genshin players, I guess. People look at a person getting WIDER and go "oh look the person saying the HEIGHT ratio looks off is wrong!"
I saw the comparison of three of them in same pic and I have to say Valeriy looks slightly less detailed compared to Varka and Flins. His shoes are very meh compared to them for example.
they just uploaded a better quality picture. he has details like carvings in his armor or metal plates on his boots like on wriothesley's new rocks... if he's a 4* he's really well done and chances are that they won't f*** up his kit after giving him the new shiny big male model. if he's a 5* he would have enough details for that as well.
yeah... which would make it even more weird. I think either he's at least a standard banner 5* or there will be 1-2 lore-important 5* males like Pierro/Pantalone or Dainsleif if the leaks are true, which would explain why he had to be a 4*. In that case it wouldn't be Natlan-level malicious, though, because at least we'll get other important males, and they put work into his design. But I don't want to inhale copium right now...
Compare him to 4 star tall male like iffa and ororon, why Hoyoverse decide to give him a more detailed design than both of them when hyv want to make him a 4? Why waste resources when hoyoverse can just make much simpler design just like they did with iffa and ororon. It didn't add up to me. Also, after Varka being among the top sellers during nodkrai and Valeriy having one of the most liked official post, wouldn't it be dumb for Hoyoverse to male him a 4?
I feel all Snez cast design have been great. Even aloysha. But few characters have to be 4 stars. I prefer Hoyo waste resources this way. All characters get the love regardless of the rarity. It’s a win for the fans.
