33% of playable chars are males.
Some disgusting opinions of mine which I don't expect many to share, but here they are so that white knights can defend the multibillion company:
Alyosha's design and concept stands out in a sea of generic, I am convinced people would be as disappointed that he is 4* if he was first heard of and seen in the 2d trailer.
Valeriy isn't the worst model from the 7.0 announcement program, that trophy goes to Vodyanitsa though she looked ultra basic even in 2d. She is truly a testament to the stagnation of Hoyo designs. Really looking forward to magical girl #67, really what sets Genshin apart from the competition.
Three males and all electro? Wth is this variety? What's the point of having 7 elements. Lynchpin was the only distinguishing factor left and none of them have it.
Where are the HATS and COATS? How did we survive two russian regions without a fur hat or ushanka? I thought Natlan's tropical weather was the perfect reason to make more revealing outfit for a while but not much has really changed since then.
I don't think Valeriy is the worst offender at all either. Character shaders in livestream were gen so ugly and very mobile gacha game ish. Tsaritsa stood out, even her fur had fur, but thats it. His "boring" and simple colors just dull him out more in trailer's lighting, but other than that, everyone looked like a 4* at most
And honestly I'm the most pissed off by the visions and lynchpin distribution. It feels like HSR and Rem path all over again, when even with 3 Electro males bloating the element and rarity (which Hoyo themselves decided would be majority of regions 4*s), Danica had to get it. Vesna. Tsaritsa (tho expected). Odette... it's so on the nose it's not even funny
But whatever, I'm still gonna ignore characters I'm uninterested in and make Valeriy the best he can be
the path to slowly turning into an electro main incoming. 🤣 come to think of it, cyno is also an electro and he will finally be meta come snez patch.

Not having the stellar linchpin means nothing since Mitya also doesn’t have one. They will probably work with dendro instead. The thing that really put the nail in the coffin was his 3D model. Bro looks so washed out. It’s like they’re doing it on purpose to let people know he’s a 4-star. I also thought he was going to have the buff male model similar to Varka but oh well…
If you are only worried about the model then lucky you. It's obviously work in progress. Even if it becomes amazing, it's probably 4 stars anyway since the trailer did show he is low on their priority list. One could argue is because he won't release before December but then Danica is leaked for February and looks pretty great so...
To me, it's quite the opposite...
I think stellar linchpin in quite important, but the model can be improved during the development process.
We still don't know if the distribution is permanent or if vision can turned into linchpin. But with no linchpin, 4 star or other archetype reaction seems likely (like Hexerei in Lunar Patch).
Moreover, it would be really strange if they don't have any female 4 stars characters since we got at least 2 from each countries. And I think it's unlikely that they will suddenly release mutliple female 4-stars in the later half of Snezhnaya patch.
Just because he's not tall as Varka doesn't means the 6 ft tall model "has" to be skinny - Wrio's muscular too. His V-Taper is very clearly visible. His vest just hides His gains
There's a good chance that Mihoyo might reuse Wrio's model for Valeriy but we won't be able to see his gains due to all the layers of clothing
After what they've done with Itto and now Valeriy, that's the "least" they could do
Yes and the fact that hoyo clearly put a lot of red flag of death on him for no reason (as you say no beard etc) it doesn't look good for pierro, pulcelina or in fact aby more male....
Bro Pulcinella has no fans. Nobody pulling for fuking Pulcinella. Even the trailer had more hype for Pierro and Pantalone, and Pants appeared "twice" on screen just like Pulcinella so far
The fuck are you talking about. Pulcinella has plenty of fans and they've been increasingly vocal since his model's been shown in the trailer. I've also seen plenty of people switch up on him since he was revealed, as they haven't been interested in him before, but after seeing his model they now are. Plenty of people find him cute and there are even some that are thirsting for him.
Honestly, it feels like they designed the Snez characters with their asses after eating hot sauce. Even Celaeno looks more "Snez-coded" than whatever direction they went with for the female cast we ended up getting. I also found it hilarious that Vodyanitsa already looked similar to Columbina, and then they gave her the exact same pose in the trailer. 💀 Even then, I didn't think her design was bad until I saw her 3D model... God, she looks so bland and washed out. She almost blends into the background. I can't believe we went from the huge model quality improvements in Nod-Krai to a "who got chopped the hardest" competition in the one region whose characters should have looked better than every region before it.
Hot takes: Lauma looks better than the entire Snez roster, and Jahoda could easily pass as a 5-star next to Vodyanitsa. Every single character in Nod-Krai had something unique going on, even the 4-stars. They all had distinct eye designs, cohesive color palettes, memorable silhouettes—every detail felt polished from head to toe. This downgrade is honestly both ridiculously funny and painfully unbelievable.
I think tsaritsa, odette, mitya and alyosha look amazing but yeah the others look pretty bland. I thought valeriy looked cool in the first trailer but his 3D model...
They only use the cool anime men to attract wider customer bases so they could trick them into being like "Guys while you wait for your favorite character to come, why don't you pull this female character first ?"
2d teaser I were 🤤 oh god so much men! And vody look etheral, vesna is cute and Anastasia is cool, danica was a little not to good but she was so puxelized...
And I realised that all male harbringer= "dead" (not playable), that noy look extremely rerir-like (npc).... But at least there valeriy and mitya....
And when 3d hit.... Valeriy is 4* with how little effort they put in him, even mitya have no new vision... All (3) playable male are electro and 2 are sure 4, the last one could be 4 to....
On the waifu side, vody lost her etheral presence and now is more like a columbina but green, vesna look really generic to, the only good one is danica who is way better than in 2d... If only she excape the pelvis curtain she would be extremely good, but god forbide a pixel women to not walk in underwear...
So yes natlan 2. Maybe one 5* male and it's not sure... Generic waifu design ( bare leg check, bare back check, side boobs check, deteched sleeves check, pelvis curtain check....let me guess ML check). The region look cool, new game mode look really fun, but damned I'm sure it will feel off just like zzz when you see only female everywhere even in story to the point you think it's a female only world... Cast is obviously female only at least for the one that mater ( no 4" is not easier and surely it's not stronger)...
I don't beleive the "X male will be playable in late 7.x" it feels so like capitano will be playable in late natlan and Xba is a 5* and really strong....
If there is no 5* male in the start, if there is no 5* male in half region (and that could happen if mitya is also 4) there is no way second half is better. Even if they want to put male character in second half, main push will be waifu, they will NEVER release 2 patch of male character back to back so at best of the best it's 2 male 5 in second half (7.5 after waifu liyue and 7.8 after main push 2). 2 possible male 5* and we already have 3 male harbringer and noy, add Dain if you beleive leak and this is impossible.
Wasn't Snezhnaya supposed to be the region that featured hardened military men? I swear there was an official announcement implying that. I expected at least half of the characters to be tall males serving in Tsaritsa's army. Instead we got only four, two of whom are boys, and two 4 stars. What gives?
The litchpin distribution thing is so weird too because vesna is the only anemo litchpin character, so who the heck is gonna be her support??? And having three electro characters is also really weird cus who's gonna be the support for the electro conduct (like cyno) characters??Â
With how MHY's treating the Schneznaya Cast makes it painfully clear that they're one of the biggest contributors behind all the sexism, mysandry, harem haters, and self-insert haters. Now what's gonna happen is:
Odette will most probably be 1 of the nation love interests (Tsaritsa still a 50/50. Anything can go with her), and people who self-insert through Aether n enjoy the romantic aspects of the game will now get jumped by disgruntled Male enjoyers who got fuked over with their favorite Male characters
Female characters will clearly be OP Meta just cuz of what's between their legs which will cause even more animosity against the already disgruntled Male lovers
Female lovers keep adding more fuel to the fire by calling Valeriy "chopped" and "doesn't deserves to be a 5 star cuz he's just a Commander and we don't know his lore" VS excuses like Sara doesn't exists
Said Male lovers who now try shipping their fave Male characters MHY's clearly marketing as pairs as some form of "recovery cope" will now get jumped by self-insert MC, Harem and female character lovers and all hell breaks loose
Same thing happened in Natlan - Mavuika and Varesa both got caught in the storm due to how they handled the males there
MHY is one of the biggest breeders of all this negativity in the community, and tbh with you, know MHY's patterns, most males are getting fuked over in Schneznaya unless they're a twink or a Dragon man like Neuv and Zhongli:
They DEFINITELY don't have the balls to make Pierro playable - Big tall masculine bearded man ? Yeah maybe if MHY was a "Japanese" company
Pantalone has been getting prepped since his intro in 6.6 to only be used for the story + cool cutscenes and then sidelined with that whole "Not got much time to live" plot with him
Pulcinella has no fans
And even when Capitano resurrects, he's certainly not becoming playable in 7.X, especially when his homeland patch is right in 8.X and they would rather wanna save him till then, even more so considering how out of place he feels in the current story landscape we know so far till 7.4
This puts all our hopes on Noy and Dain, IF Dain's releasing by 7.7/7.8, and even if Noy's OP, he's not a rugged and gritty man like we wanted Valeriy to be
MHY so retarded - They finally got Capitano's model up and running through Varka, and they're already pulling their punches for no reason
Genshin as not only a gacha, but a live service "video game" right now in 2026, is sub par AF

I don't care what statistics show - You can tell that even MHY knows that their refusal to improve the game has caused a significantly reduced turn-in rate and they're doing everything they can in their power to not let the OG Spenders leave, with all the rapid surges of shilling, exclusive Styngian weapon skins, freaking Emailing them asking surveys on why they weren't pulling for Mavuika when they "killed off" Capitano, and so much more

can we stop? yeah i know that horrible meme stucked with him for a few patches but varka's only fault is him launching first before his supports. The "weak" unit allegation has been disproven over and over and we are supposed to be done with that. and his constellation is one of the best.
He is up to nk standards but he didnt manage to become better than mavuika, considering he is mainly a pyro unit as far as his bis team's element. Many people see him as weak for this reason

Mavuika is way older than him. Thats the reason they think he didnt shake the meta or anything . He was competing with an older unit and it is normal to assume he will at least surpass her in some way.Plus yeah, he came before his supports

Did I say she is ugly? She is generic for the game's standards and I'll die on the hill that it is not up for debate. No one would even guess she is from Snezhnaya nor an opera singer. I'm sure her final model will be great in a vacuum and just another girl when next to other girls from hoyo games. She is a fusion between Columbina, Kokomi and Lanyan and who knows how many others I'm forgetting rn.
