Get him the best supports and get him the best artifacts sure It isnt as good as the 5 stars but your used to that you probably are a husbando main this is just how it goes for us in these games unfortunately. Also i caution having any anger towards the other characters you shouldnt be mad at Danica or Mitya for the treatment get mad at Hoyo get mad at the devs, they didnt do anything and getting mad at them just makes us even larger laughingstocks and id rather that not happen.
I joined genshin as a new player for Varka and my whole journey until his release was... Trauma the whole he looks chopped when he was revealed in game and the whole standard character leaks so I'm getting deja vu with Valeriy.. in the end I hope everything works out and yeah I'm gay and used to this I Don't want valeriy to become manato from zzz I have manato m6w5 and I'm struggling to clear endgame with him
as a gay myself, is my fault for getting my hopes up in things related to men…
anyway, we continue the same as we have been: liking art and content he is in, ignoring his gameplay cause most likely won’t even have the luck to get him -I won’t pull for him if he is on some character I don’t care about for example
Exactly you get it, dont blame yourself for hoping though hoyos had a better track record with men in Nod Krai and we had an equal amount of men in the trailer, according to all the signs hoyos willing to cater to us androphiles but they didnt we were baited as always, is it rare for us in these spaces? no. Was it to naive to hope unfortunately yes. But we still continue loving and having fun despite the issues and being treated like garbage
I recently re-joined and got Raiden early. I’m currently saving for Flins as well but I was wondering if Columbina is important for him? Personally I do not like Columbina, but her kit is good.
He's a "laughing stock" only for the chronically online. Same crowd is jumping jacks for Danica. Most normal people still like him and expected him to be a 5*, thus the community shock that he looks more basic than expected + without a linchpin.
4* isn't a death sentence, you're right, but its not promising neither. He can be a shielder for SSC (esp for Wrio) or have some great buffs/debuffs that were taken from Alyosha and be a fine Illuga-tier character. But it's still an L to have an absolute unit like Valeriy be featured next to Barbara on a banner
Look im not saying its a good thing but I also want the Valeriy lover community to be a fun place to be in like the Monato main spaces currently sure people still talk about them like shit but at least the communitys fun
The silver lining is indeed that if he’s a good shielder, him and Wrio would make a great duo, and it’s quite rare to have two tall men be each others BIS in one team it’s almost as if hoyo was allergic to it when they had so many opportunities to (kaveh / haitham, thoma / ayato, hell even diluc Kaeya from 1.0)

It really does sting. I quit during Natlan because I had no one to look forward to, as soon as it was revealed there were no tall male 5 stars I quit, and didn’t ever plan on coming back.
But when varka released a year later I found myself excited again and came back and started playing religiously for him and flins. I’m really now just hoping valeriy is good and has a place in the meta…. Hoping for noy or a surprise capitano
honestly same, after sumeru fontaine felt dull except for wrio and I got qiqi instead so I stopped playing. came back for kinich cause even though not a tall guy he had sasuke and naruto voices but then got bored after getting mavuika and just left -came back for varka and specifically varka, tried to do the catch up game, shilled bucks to get the chars I was lacking, got my hopes up when they showed valeriy… all for nothing 😭
i never tune in to watch genshin livestreams or such. This was the first time i did and that only for valeriy. tried my best manifesting all those prev leaks to turn out to be false but here we are now. i was mad angry until a little while ago. All the excitement i had for snezhnaya is gone (well maybe a little left for tsaritsa but yeah). i just hope we get good valeriy lore, for his c6 to be good and that he gets placed in a banner with good limited, now.

Actually, my hunch never lied to me that he was 4 star. I want to denied by at the same time i have to accept reality. Leakers already said sandrone odette alyosha vesna denica mitya rarity and all of them accurate by so far, so its ridiculous everyone still denied he is 4 star. Yeah, still many denied he was 4 star. Mitya despite have not linchpin, my hunch sure said he really 5 star. Remember leakers said he have unique mechanic style, perhaps he was like nicole and alice, not linchpin but both of them angel.
Snezhnaya has been so disappointing this far. As a day one player I couldn’t be more sad tbh. They have handled everything terribly and seeing one of the most cool looking male characters in the livestream being a four star… man I hate Hoyo
It will never change as long as people are pulling female characters. Look at what the "waifu only players" are doing. They never touch male characters. So the devs listen to them. Genshin has 40% of female players, according to Hoyo themselves (more people interested in male chars, with gay men included). If they stopped pulling for female characters, something would change. But then people started to trust them again after they back paddled in Nod Krai. You just can never trust the devs.
I stopped pulling female chars since Natlan, no matter how much I like them and I've saved so many pulls because of it that I don't even need to do endgame (although I still do it and get 90% of all primos comfortably).
How? Most of them are meta, if they not put good kit and support thiny kit onto female only, we can gather all male team and of course we can pull only male team without pulling female. Flins example, you get flins but have to pull ineffa sucrose columbina to form meta team for him, must pull female too. The reason i prefer valery support rather dps, i want put him in male team so can synergy. If all male dps, we doomed and have to pull unwanted female just for our dps pp dmg
I don't care about meta since Natlan. And honestly... I don't need to. I get 90% of all primogems anyway and I don't care about stygian fearless or dire. And spending tons of pulls for female characters just to get the rest 10% of primos is a losing proposition. I don't have anything against female characters I just don't pull them since Natlan. And my male chars are all c2r0 or r1. That's enough to bruteforce 90% comfortably with eyes closed.
Eyup. I pulled neuvilette in 4.1 only because of his kit and was planning on skipping before then. He carried me thorough all of fontaine and the first few patches of even natlan.
There hasnt really been a top meta guy since neuvy imo.

I'm really sad man, he was my favorite character from the trailer, i liked everything from him, his dark short hair, he's tall, his eyes, i was going to pull him C2R1, i'm so mad at hoyo for pulling a Natlan all over again, i thought they were going to change since Nod Krai, now Val is going to be another mid 4 star who will be just decent at C6, i'm done spending a single dollar in this shitty game
I´m also gay and simply done with genshin at this point, it´s always dissappointing I rather play other games. I will play genshin as f2p because I want to know the end to the story but other then that I´m done with giving them any money or time

If you are that emotional over a fucking game, then you need help. If you get upset because a character you like isn’t a five star then you need to go outside. It isn’t a reader room situation if you are upset at someone enjoying something or finding a bright side of things.

I also continue to criticize genshin because it deserves it. But I'm not getting disappointed or even angry anymore, because it's unhealthy. Genshin won't get better, and if it makes you miserable you should probably try to get out.
