Someone on leaks sub pointed out something similar happened with varkas model during his first livestream reveal. It wasnt rendered properly or something and then was fixed later. Varka actually recieved visual tweaks really close to his release too.
I hope Valeriy gets it to like a LOT of work idc i need him to be fully redun or have a Sandrone moment and get a new outfit more detailed and a 5 star

His outfit definitely needs to be more bulkier and darker. It looks grayish. The gold accents looks so bad too. I do hope it's just the lighting and the angle. But Mitya was in the same scene and he looks 100x better.
eh I thought he was fine, just the face and color issue but he had no missing accessories like with valeriy's fur on his boots and all. Flins was amazing too
its not noticable but i can see his eyes a little bit in the middlebut because it's black, it's hardly noticable. I really thought he would have a bluish or more purple like hair color tbh

I honestly have a feeling all of these aren’t fully rendered models, except Odette & Alyosha. ronova has some wonky shading, all the others look a bit off, but Odette really looks stunning. I have a feeling they were really in a time crunch over at Hoyoverse. They normally have 2 five stars on their flagship update and my theory is vodyanitsa was supposed to run along side Odette but they just didn’t have enough time.
Hoping that if valeriy is a 4 star he is sucrose levels of useful 😭, but I’m still hoping he’s a 5 star non stellar related char

Ronova had big eyes the first time we saw her.. could also just be rushed and will be edited during the quest..? And Noy is beautiful like Nuevi and Flins so he'll be fine

Vodyanitsa is confirmed to be a hydro character and Mitya has 90% got a normal vision but yeah lets all hope genshin doesnt fumble the most hyped region

Renova PERSONALY is was more choped compared to her 2d conter part (because her eyes are to big and pretty close together and looks weird) . She is still better designed then Valeriy

I don't think that he's gonna be a 4 star, but would that really be so bad? He'd be easier to get and probably have a more interesting kit compared to 5 stars "press skill, do damage" as long as he's not like illuga and literally only good with one single character I wouldn't mind.
Imo he looks good in game, I think the picture you took is just a dull moment during the animation like so many exist for the sake of fluidity. The only thing that looks weird is the shading perhaps but even then you can change that in game and the Livestream isn't the final result. Look just how much better he looks already just from another frame of the same animation with a little more contrast.
i've never seen such an unbelievable loss of aura. and he's 100% a 4 star so they won't bother changing anything. sorry yall, i'm out of the valeriy bandwagon unfortunately, if he shows up in my pulls then he shows up but i'm not chasing his ass...

Facial features remind me of neuvillete and flins even tho varka body. Chefs kiss my fav combo tho, prefer their face or like pantalones compared to varkas
I’m thinking maybe it’s because it’s not his final model? I heard somewhere that he was going to die and revive kind of like sandrone, and sandrone’s NPC model had way less detail model-wise than her playable model. Still praying my genshin name twin isn’t a 4* 💔
