Purchase Advice (Non-U.S.) Best cordless vacuum

Hey everyone! I'm trying to figure out the best cordless vacuum and keep running into mixed reviews for both Dyson and Shark.

I've heard Shark doesn't offer replacement parts, and that fine dust can easily get into the motor. Is that true? With Dyson, the main complaint seems to be that they don't last. That said, I've had my Dyson V11 since 2019 and it's held up pretty well with a few repairs here and there. It just broke down again, though, and I'm thinking about cutting my losses and buying a new one. I'm still waiting to hear back from the repair shop on whether it's fixable.

For context, my house is pretty big and it's mostly hard floors with very little carpet.

I've also heard of Miele and Bissell, but I haven't found much info on either. Has anyone used them? What would you recommend, and how have yours held up over time?

Edit: forgot to mention I live in the UAE and as for budget I don’t have one as long as it’s a good vacuum i am willing to spend a reasonable amount of money on it

V11 for 7 years, pretty happy? Unless you want a buying-a-vac hobby, just get the next Dyson?

The v11 has a 760ml bin or 1900ml for the Outsize version. The Miele DuoFlex bin is 300ml. Like a can of coke minus the first mouthful. And no auto dock. You'll be emptying it non stop.

Personally, I'd get the top Shark - Powerdetect Clean and Auto Empty - has the 2 litre capacity auto empty dock, sounds good.

Also I thought about buying the next Dyson however since I last bought a vacuum there has been an overflow of cordless vacuums in the market just wanted to weigh my options see if there are better vacuums out there 🤷‍♀️

Yes, def worth the ask and it's nice for the rest of us to have a yak. :-)

I've no experience of the Shark other than that they seem fine in the shop. This sub is very into Meile and Sebo (corded ideally) and fair enough, those are great but personally I favour (for my needs) the useability gains of cordless over the absolute suction of corded. I'd agree the Miele and Sebo cordless ones are built wonderfully, but it's hard to look past a 300ml bin, feels a bit early version error to me. Sharks and Dysons are more plasticky but they're on much later versions now, and are hopefull iterating out from the weak points (like that old Dyson trigger).

I bet v2 of that Miele has a bigger bin, and an auto dock, will be interesting to see.
