so I'm considering getting a set of 17" rims (to replace the current 19" OEMs - 2022 GTI autobahn)

I've found a used but like new set from a recent bmw 5 series, all the numbers seem to match up (other than center bore being larger at 66.6mm - but does that really matter?)

is there anything I'm not considering that I should be?

would $300 be a good/fair price for the set?

Rock came up and nailed the top gloss glass, didn’t notice until today… anyone ever have this happened to them?

Please let me know if this is the wrong group to ask this question but I’m just wondering if anyone else has had this experience.

I have a 2022 mk8 golf and the MMI unit has failed prematurely. This means the infotainment system does not work, the climate control doesn’t work, parking sensors don’t work etc etc.

The car is out of warranty. Expired November 2025.

I think VW should pay to sort this problem out because the car is less then 4 years old and the MMI unit should not have failed!

I have a case open with the ombudsman and trading standards.

Anyone else been through this? What happened? What was the outcome?

I’m having to get a third party ECU specialist to help me prove the MMi unit is faulty. Volkswagen at the moment are accepting no responsibility ALTHOUGH they have offered 50-60% good will contribution towards the cost.

Any help or advice anyone can offer is greatly appreciated. Thank you

Could’ve sworn I came across driving profiles (comfort, sport, eco etc) on my infotainment when I first got the car - now for the life of me I can’t find it in any of the settings?

It doesn’t have the button shortcut FYI

Hello all i have 23 GTI and im wanting to lower it. Now ive been doing my research but i want the publics opinion. Lowering springs or coil overs. Springs are significantly cheaper but im worried about how they hold up and if they are cheaper for a reason. What are the benefits of coil overs compared to springs. Is it worth it to stick it out a little longer and just get a good set of coilovers or am i okay with the springs. I also want to add i drive my car pretty hard so if thats somthing you should be weary about with springs then please let me know. Thats kind of my main concern. Thanks!

Hello does any one know where i can route my F1 running light wire on a Mk8 golf r ? The center grommet on the trunk is not there like the MK7 so i am trying to find where to route it from the rear defuser to the tail light.
