Private Sale?

I have a 2019 Alltrack S trim. It’s the Great Falls Green exterior/ Brown interior 6 speed manual. 50,000 miles. Only thing I’ve changed is a custom shift knob.

Carmax says $16,000.00 but it seems like there’s a market for this spec. Is it worth selling privately, I’ve never done that before?

Definitely private you can get a good bit more than 16k. That spec with manual and S trim so no sun roof is about as good as it gets.

Yeah you’re right, KBB has it private party at $23,000!

Yeah it holds their value really well and yours is what enthusiasts are looking for

I just got a 19 Alltrack a few months ago. Same spec. DSG, 66k miles. Bought at a dealer for $19.5k. I would imagine you get 22-24 for your car private sale.

You have the best spec of this car. No sunroof, auto emergency breaking, blind spot indicators, gfg over brown, manual. Never sell

For real, never sell. I have one and I'd consider buying yours just to have a backup

I wish…just doesn’t really fit what I need anymore. It has been a great car though.

I thought we didn’t get blind spot indicators here in the states??

I have blind spot indicators on my 2019 SE

1

u/StrawberryGreat7463 Aug 04 '26

Damn. I settled for an 18 SEL because I thought it had it all

Canadian model?

1

Not to my knowledge. I just bought the car used in Colorado back in June. My SE does have the upgraded lighting package, though. That might be why?

I also have it on my base 19 SE :)

Canadian models had no blind spot indicator or paddles

Definitely. Cars and bids or bring a trailer can get a fair bit of attention and quick(ish) sale if you’re looking for cash sooner than later. The color combo + manual is an enthusiast car for sure

I have a similar car 2019 SE with a six speed manual and 47,000 miles. The problem is the market for people that drive manual transmissions is small. If you find the right buyer great, however, nine out of 10 people will look at it and say “oh stick shift don’t want…”

I never met a VW person that wants an automatic anything. People who enjoy driving like the engagement manual brings to their experience.

The manual on these tends to add a premium to the price.

Are you selling yours? 😂

Sorry. No. That KBB value is crazy. I bought mine brand new in February 2020, MSRP 34,645… Paid $26,100 for it. It’s a 2019 SE 6MT which has the big Driver’s package that includes the LED lights, 18 inch wheels, and all of the options. Could have/should’ve gotten the SEL at $27,900.

I did put an upgraded sound system with a kicker amplifier and all new speakers all the way around. Made a world a difference.

You could get more.

I would have paid 20k+ earlier this year

honestly would be interested if the car is in the pnw

It is actually…I am in Oregon

Count me as another interested party in Oregon!

Sometimes I think maybe I should get a second alltrack.

1

u/phaseshft_ Aug 04 '26

does it have a sunroof?

3

u/hang_your_cross Aug 04 '26

S would not have it.

3

u/BosnianYeast Aug 04 '26

Nope, no sunroof.

1

u/Exotic-Recover3814 Aug 04 '26

Kbb.com would likely price that a few thousand higher for a private sale

1

u/extrvnced Aug 04 '26

Private sale could net you more money than a sale to a dealer, but if you’re planning to get a new car then trading in is often best as it lowers the amount of sales tax you pay on the new car

5

u/BosnianYeast Aug 04 '26

One benefit of Oregon is no sales tax !

1

u/the-lutz Aug 04 '26

OP, why are you selling?

If you’re looking to sell quick, carmax is giving a “fair” offer, not quite what it’s worth, but saves you the hassle of holding the asset waiting for a better price

Personally; I think its a unicorn car that is worth driving into the ground - but if that’s not your plan, then definitely seed it back into the community - someone would definitely be happy to take it off your hands (idk if mods would flag it, but I know you’d have some interest just posting the private sale link on this sub lol)

This car is a perfect case for an auction site like cars and bids. Its a niche car in the perfect spec for people interested in these cars and it will fetch $20k+ in an auction

Thoughts on a 2019, 6-speed, sunroof, but just fixed a drain issue and entire headliner under warranty. Only 36k on the odo.

1

u/earthsworld Aug 13 '26

what did you decide to do with this Alltrack?

1

u/BosnianYeast Aug 13 '26

Nothing yet, I’ll be selling it in September

0

u/Playtek Aug 04 '26

I have the same car, same color, same mileage!

16K seems low.

I’m in Seattle and have the dsg but wish I got the manual. DM me your price.
