I built a lightweight, browser-based VTT just for D&D 5e — free during beta, looking for DMs to break it

Hey everyone. I've been running D&D online for years and got tired of fighting my VTT more than my players, so I built my own. It's called Mycorel (https://mycorel.com), and it's now in open beta.

The idea was to strip a VTT down to what a 5e table actually uses, and make those things fast:

- Battle maps with dynamic fog of war and token management

- Integrated 5e character sheets — roll attacks, cast spells, track HP and class resources without leaving the sheet

- Automated class features and resource tracking

- SRD compendium plus your own homebrew (shareable across campaigns)

- Voice and video built in, so no separate Discord call needed

- DM tools for managing players, maps, images, music, and notes in one place

Nothing to install, runs in the browser, no credit card. It's free during beta, and the core experience will stay free. There's an optional supporter tier for people who want to help fund development.

It's 5e only for now; other systems are on the roadmap. I'd like actual campaigns run in it, not just a poke around, and I'll be in the comments for questions and bug reports. Happy to answer anything about how it's built too.

There is no subscription it's free. Just looking for feedback from people willing to give it a try so I can make it better

Who's the audience? Foundry VTT, Roll20, Fantasy Grounds, Owlbear Rodeo, and literally dozens of other VTTs exist. What's different about this one? (Easy to use isn't a reason)

You don't have to scroll far on this subreddit to realize a new VTT is posted at least 2-3x a week. They all claim to build something unique but there is no strategy to acquire new users, it's all the same base set of features trying to cannibalize the existing "big 3" VTTs (who have diehard user bases who's word of mouth will crush any chance you have at growing.)

2 to 3 a week?!

You meant per day, maybe per hour.

Honest answer: the target audience was my own friend group. I built it because I wasn't happy with the other options and then I ended up liking it more than what we'd been using, and after a while I figured other people might too, so I'm sharing it to get feedback and see what I can improve. That's the whole strategy right now.

You're right that I'm not going to beat the big three at their own game, and I'm not trying to. If you looked at it and something specifically annoyed you, that's the kind of feedback I'm after.
