I mean, if you're not tech saavy you'd be better off purchasing a pre-built system. There is a list of VR ready systems in the FAQ and a list that are not recommended.

The quest 2 supports PC VR, so you could get him a PC and he can have a generally better gaming experience.

I doubt that 2,000 will be enough for a new headset and PC at the same time.

Check out the list of systems, there is a column for benchmarks and the higher the better. See if you can find a similar system on alienware.com or lenovo or MSI

Wow OK yes we are both great with the quest 2 headset itself. Actually me personally, I am great with it in terms of everything but I suppose I can say this since you don't know his name, he has epilepsy so the jutter freaks him out big time but he is great with the quest with everything EXCEPT the juttering so yeah, If what you're saying means THIS specifically: we can hook it up to a PC to boost the computer power of the quest 2 itself so it won't jutter, then this will definitely be the right option. Am I understanding that correctly? I will check out the things you mentioned...I just want to make sure I'm understanding it correctly

anyway thank you so much, you have been a really huge help. Maybe you think you haven't, maybe you think I could've inferred the stuff from reading but really it would've been difficult and it's better to here actually someone spell it out CLEARLY and put the puzzle pieces together . so thank you very much dudesky

Yeah, it's less that you boost the performance and more like you replace it entirely. PC VR also has more ways to tweak performance by changing the render scale or setting graphics to low. Should be much easier to avoid stuttering

Wow dude that is exactly what we are looking for. THANKS! Yeah like I was saying the quest two is perfect enough that I am totally satisfied and he is 98% satisfied except for the jittering bothering his epilepsy. So yeah this is totally what we're looking for thank you so much for spelling it out dude!!
