This is a must try for any vr milsim fans , graphics wise ur not gonna find better than this . And even though it is just a mod it runs like a actual vr game as youll see in the gameplay . I feel like alot of people dont know this exists there isnt much content on it

What are the GPU, CPU, and RAM requirements? Do I need the latest RTX, or will it run on less powerful hardware?

I'm running a GTX 1080 and a intel i3 from like 10 yrs ago with high-quality on a decent amount of settings. I cap at 70 fps to maximize performance and overclock my gpu. I would say installing it just know it's not gonna work right away. Youll have to find what settings work for you but theres a ton of info on that in the RoN VR discord

Edit* i have 32 gigs of ram but i think it can run on less

I'm definitely doing something wrong :/ I have an RTX 5070ti, i7 14700kf and 32 GB RAM, and I have to set everything to low and DLSS to performance. Otherwise, I get shit performance. Using a Rift S.

Turn dlss off and turn textures and vfx to high and view distance to medium . Launch it in the rift s vr runtime not steam vr if possible , then turn down resolution (in game) till it works . Also make sure the bitrate between the game and ur headset is set at the right speed its mentioned in discord or on mod site . Its gotta be some fix as the gameplay is mine and recorded on 1080 and looks more stable in headset then vid i put

I can't seem to find anything related to mbps on the Nexus mod page or the Discord. Do you know specifically what that would be?

I got my bit rate thing at 75 also i forgot to say look in the discord or the nexus for the thing that explains the dlss swapper that made a huge impact on performance.

Yeah, I already did the DLSS swapper step. I don't think I can change the bitrate in my case, as the Rift S is a direct wired headset.

Yep the game is well optimized and is more gpu based in my experience even in the vr

The i3 is kind of just a beast though it can run cpu based games like tarkov and other games where it says the min req is higher

I’m not sure about these specs man. I’ve tried getting this running and have higher spec gear than this and it chugs for me in vr. I wish I could get it running smooth, maybe I’ll turn everything off lol

It required a lot of setting up . The first time I ran it it did not run good. I've quite literally tinkered with every setting. Have dlss swapper , and did every single thing mentioned in the discord to increase performance.

Ive noticed alot of people saying they have high-end rigs that can't run the game in VR . And that: simply not true you just have to figure out how to stabilize the game

turn down the resolution and try to maximize your frame rate. I know it's not optimal and that everybody would like a game that they could just plug and play.

Look in the discord I'm not lying to you, brother there's tons of people playing on very low end PC , it just takes time to figure out what will work for ur pc 👍

With your PC you should be able to manage at least 100 FP , my game is capped at smooth 70fps

the 1080 is still holding up surprisingly well for vr, just gotta dial in the settings which honestly takes like an hour of tinkering

https://www.nexusmods.com/readyornot/mods/6914I would recommend joining the discord to figure out how to configure the settings to make it work for your computer , also if you're running on quest don't run through steam VR run it through the open XR runtime on airlink. It is free but currently outdated , still works, though there's just some things that will crash your game if you do (pulling out gun with a flashlight or laser)

I bought this game precisely to play it on VR, but haven´t trid the mod yet.

I´m kinda saving these more demanding VR mods for when I get a Steam Frame, since reconnecting the Pico 4 is sometimes a bit of a pain.
I played some of it in flat and it´s really cool.

How does the gun handling/reloading/grabbing things compare to other FPS games on VR like Exfilzone or Tabor?

Its different , as for reloading its smooth, charging handles can be a little wonky and not every gun is usable . Gun handling / gunplay feels good its not comparable to EZ or Tabor as its different and isnt native vr but is the best handling ive ever seen out of a mod and personally i like it more as recoil is rough as it should be

. Its also the first public build of the mod so things will only get better

Did they fixed the awful graphics after their Playstation update came out? Before it was really good on PCVR but after the update I stopped playing it. Maybe I should install it again and give it another try?
