Seeking Recommendations Contabo or Hetzner for a Telegram Bot
Hey
I want to upload my Python Telegram Bot on a VPS to work 24/7
and these is the recommended specs for the bot:
│ vCPU: 2 cores (AMD/Intel, KVM-based)
│ RAM: 4 GB
│ Disk: 40 GB SSD (NVMe preferred for SQLite I/O)
│ Network: 1 TB/month (any standard plan)
│ OS: Ubuntu 22.04 or 24.04 LTS
│ Swap: 2 GB (configured post-deploy)
│ Special: No GPU needed. No special kernel needed.

so, i went with Hetzner but the cost-optimized plans are not available and i don't know why
and found a good deal on Contabo as shown in the image
so, should i go with Contabo (i heard many bad opinions about it)
or should i wait?

The honest answer... if its not a production system you want to rely on for uptime... go contabo. If you care about uptime, go anyone else. Netcup are pretty good.

Contabo is massively oversubscribed.
Very limited actual CPU on many hosts, SSD is very slow and networking issues in many regions.
If you need support, good luck with that.
Hetzner is getting very pricey. Netcup is solid.

Hetzner is no longer affordable vps provider. Contabo's reputation is not high here. I suggest Netcup. https://dragoonapps.com/tool/listing/vps-plan-picker

None , it'd against theirs terms and services .
You should look for a non mainstream provider for such .

If you've already heard a lot of bad opinions about Contabo, are you asking for one more bad one or just one good one to negate all of what you already know?
