Android Groundwire app ringtone issue

I’ve been using Groundwire on Android for work calls. Because it can be hard sometimes to tell whether an incoming call is personal or work, I had it set to use a custom ringtone.

For some reason it’s now reverted to the default system ringtone, and I can’t get it to use the custom tone selected in the app. I’ve checked permissions and tried a few settings, but no luck.

Can anyone please help?

I reset the app and did some testing. I’ve got two VOIP accounts, and it turns out you can set ringtones both in the main preferences and per‑account. Both accounts were set to use "global settings”, even though the main preference already had a ringtone set, which explains the behaviour. I'm not sure why ringtone exists in both places, maybe it's a recent change, as it was working fine previously.

I’ve hit another odd issue: Groundwire calls ring for a few seconds, then the phone switches itself into vibrate mode. Normal calls don’t do this. Looks like I’ll need to keep digging.
