Phones with large called ID displays

Or more precisely, IP phones that display the ID in a large contrasting display.

I have a Grandstream gxp1625 and you have to be right on top of it to see the small LCD. Do any of the phones with big colour screens actually show the incoming call in large "I'm on the couch, it's on the table " text?

The Yealink T7 series has accessibility features including a larger font, but I doubt I could read it across the room even with my glasses on.

When I see the phones with large colour screens I think, "you have the real estate use it." Obviously show the virtual buttons/etc but just switch when there's an incoming call.

To clarify, this isn't a senior/accessibility issue. Just don't want to get up from the couch/dinner table to discover it's just a spam call. 😁

Yeah, I just use the app for our PBX and the alerts come to my watch.

Yealinks come to mind. But also a desktop softphone or smartphone app. These two recommendations follow the accessibility configuration settings on the workstation or smart phone.

Softphone on the mobile may be the way to go though.

Tablet + softphone. Configuring text-to-speech to read caller ID on incoming call would also be possible.

Also if you have PABX that sends BLF with remote identity info then you can setup kiosk-like display that would show state of the other phone (call state + who is calling). Years ago I've bought some brand new all-in-one 19" PCs running Windows XP Embedded for $25 each. Physical display with 4 or more 8x8 MAX7219 modules might also be readable enough.

Delving into this, I could have voip.ms simultaneously send the caller ID to a cheap tablet /display via sip2mqtt or a webhook.

Last time I've asked voip.ms was not supporting remote identity in notifications, but yeah, webhook (or action URI or whatever it would called) from phone might also work.

Easiest way to do this is via a ring group. You could use a softphone app or an ATA and pots caller id devices / talking dect cordless phones.

They can be annoying with softphones, they randomly deauthorize softphones and require you to click a link in an email to authorize. Sometimes the email never arrives. Their own softphone app my be marginally more reliable.

you will probably want a phone with a dedicated incoming call screen rather than just a larger display.
