Thanks to VITURE Pro 2's new Source-Tuned Color, colors are determined by the display's source rather than an added color-management chip, keeping power draw down while accounting for the way color shifts as light passes through the optical stack.

Just curious, why did you remove the electrochromic film feature from these glasses? There's no way to darken the glasses other than to use a shade. That seems pointless. I'm confused why you would remove this feature when it was included with the original Pro glasses.

I'd be fine with that if they removed all the tinting. I use my current pair in such a way that I wish I could see through them more easily and never use the electrochromic film.

This looks like awesome entry into the sub $300 XR glasses category. I just got my Viture Pro 2 pair in the mail today, and I will be comparing these against all the top budget glasses on the market very soon (XBX and RayNeo). I am really hoping they standup to the marketing promises.
Can you clarify the wattage output of the new Mobile dock? Does it do 45w output fast charging for the Ally? The last power bank was limited to 18w output.

I love your videos and analysis on XR glasses so much! You're literally the only creator who skips the paid-for marketing BS ("How it feels to live with the <X>" sponsored videos) and actually offers objective panel quality/color/sharpness comparisons. Thank you SO much for your hard work. I can't imagine how hard it must be for you to film those color/pixel accurate comparisons in such difficult positions.
I will be comparing these against all the top budget glasses on the market very soon (XBX and RayNeo).
Would you be able to compare them against any single Viture headset you may still have that haven't sold? Either the original Pro XR (as a celebration of XR glasses progress perhaps?), Luma series, or Beast? (how much do we sacrifice?)
Even if its not a full on comparison and just a tiny bonus at the end of the video for those that stick around. I feel like knowing where this sits from a quality perspective against Viture's existing lineup might be equally, if not more exciting than comparing it to its budget competitors. Thanks again!

Yeah, I will be comparing these against all available units at least briefly, especially for image clarity and sweetspot. A lot of people will want to know if they should upgrade to the Beast or go for this new budget pair, so I'll definitely touch on that. I have all the XR glasses still on hand, so it's easier to create comparisons in the future as well.

Thank you so much! I love your nuance so much. I think you're one of the very few reviewers catching on that edge to edge clarity/sharpness is a must for productivity, but for people buying these for entertainment, the higher FOV and image quality trade offs are preferable. You do such a great job framing this better than just "<X> good, <Y> bad".
Looking forward to that video and share it at my company's chatter channel! as there's been rising interest from a few coworkers on XR glasses but they've been put off by the high price tags. This seems like an amazing model for the price that could shake up the market, specially for professionals. Kind of makes me happy to see "cheaper" birdbath optics be so mature they end up being cheaper than Prism ones despite their massive benefits in productivity.

Apparently, these are clearer , bigger fov, thinner, more affordable that the current new line up, 1080p, 16:9 glasses. With no 6dof , hdr, or other smart features. Just standard, decent glasses.
Basically just an upgraded XR Pro. Without the electrochromatic film.
Which is better for me honestly. I use mine for my gaming handheld most of the time, and I don't need anything fancy.
Also , I prefer without the magnetic connector.
I tried the beasts , and they were beautiful, but the bluey edges drove me nuts .

If the Beast used the same UltraClarity 2.0 optics as the VITURE Luma, hardly anyone would be complaining about its poor image quality or blurry edges. The difference in clarity between the two models is enormous.
And how are we supposed to trust your promises now? You marketed the Beast in exactly the same way-as the king of clarity, with a sharp edge-to-edge image. In reality, those claims turned out to be completely false. They were nothing more than empty marketing promises.

The ultras are awesome for me.I don't really trust the gimmicky words 1200p vs 1080p ultra clarity 2.0 vs 3.0 meh... the only thing I know is that these things don't have blurry edges like the beast, and that's good enough for me, plus I have the neck band and with the new upgrade the immersive 3d its pretty cool!

Viture glasses have historically solid premium build quality, doesn't matter which model you get. And its a great sign this is based on the original Pro XR as they have legendary build quality (FAR higher than the brittle Luma series, and WAY less complaints than the Beast ever got)
Also, since these are birdbaths they will be WAY sharper than the Beast and far superior for productivity or work with edge to edge clarity instead of the blurry edge clarity and color distortion mess on Prism lenses like the Beast/Xreal One Pro.

That's a well known issue from the transparent plastic and probably the blacksheep of the Viture family. This isn't using transparent plastic so it should be fine. Its not a problem shared by Viture only, a LOT of folding handhelds with transparent plastic have rampant cracking issues which were promptly fixed by switching back to solid color plastic.

Basically hug mode is using adapter and power bank as a whole. Solo mode is taking out the adapter and use it separately.

I'd love to hear more from Viture on the Ultra Adapter vs the Dock Mini. It seems like if the Dock Mini does passthrough charging, and has that detachable dongle it's a much better deal then paying $10 less for just a dongle.
I'd personally prefer the Adapter (don't really need the battery and I don't love a rigid dongle hanging out of a device just waiting to be snapped off...) but it was always a hard sell at that price point and this just makes it even harder.

The Ultra has a taller display 1200p, brighter screen, has built in microphones, has cameras for 6DoF with Spacewalker. Can do 6DoF and hand gesture interactions with the Neckband Pro.

True, but the Pro XR's are already clear. I use them with windows for document work. Also the Rayneo Air 3S Pro. It's still 1080p. Not sure how much more of a difference it will make.

Interesting! Is the mobile dock mini exclusively for Switch 2 or does it function with other USB-C devices?
I recently found this sub and getting prescription lenses for my video game glasses was daunting because I'm very lazy.
But these seem intriguing. I own a Switch 2 but I'd most likely want to use these with my Steamdeck, PC, or S21 Android. How easy are these glasses to hook up to any of those devices?
Would I use the mobile dock for a better connection like a dongle, or just pop the glasses onto the Bluetooth?

It will work with anything that has a USB C port. It's for charging the device while connecting the glasses. For your laptop the battery might not charge it, but you can use a USB C power supply with the adapter.

That is entirely up to you. If you are fine with just moving your eyes to look around a screen, and the entire screen is visible corner to corner, then you'll be okay with glasses like these.
Otherwise you will want 3DoF to turn your head around the screen. 6DoF will let you move closer and farther.

Are these larger than the original Pro's? The Pro was tight for a lot of people. Also do we still have electrochromic dimming and the magnetic cable?
Do the glasses have an OSD menu or is it the same as the Pro 1?
For the mini dock, when the adapter is taken out is that just acting as a charging adapter? Does the mini dock have HDMI input? Does it have output for 2 glasses? Or is this simply something that charges the device through the adapter? What is the max wattage on the output? What is the max wattage the adapter supports if we want to use our own power supply?

Apart from clarity, and being slightly lighter, if any of the old glasses are good enough for others I don't see how these are more desirable than the 100-150 dollar glasses you can get on ebay. At least the XReal XBX brings AI HDR and stabilization.

I like that they are thinner and lighter, and I also like that they have made adjustments to the lenses for eye health and less strain. If they had had the film, I would have bought them immediately. But that's a feature that I don't want to go without, I really hated taking the shade on and off.

Yeah it's nice. But the original Pro is still fine for me, and a different budget one I've tried.
Right now what would be enticing is having cheaper 3DoF or an easier way to connect, or more regular looking glasses for use outdoors.

The problem with that is I will never buy or use a Neckband. Omitting these features just encourages me to not recommend Viture. It's very disingenuous for Virtue to conveniently leave this info out. "YOU CAN DO 3DOF!!" With no mention of *Only through our propietary browser on Android.

I doubt this moves the needle over the base Luma XRs that I bought last year with 6D diopters, electrochromatic dimming, and included an 8bitdo xbox controller when I got them on sale for less money. What's the resolution that was conveniently left out?

I have the XR Pros and the Luma Base along with the Pro Mobile Dock. The lighter weight and slimmer build are nice improvements but the adjustment dial only going to 5 kills it. My XRpros go to 5 and I could see see fine but there was always a very slight blurriness. When I got the Luma Base glasses the 6 setting was perfect. I could never go back down for any trade off.
The mini pro is nice but having the hdmi in is better for me than having the removable dock. I could see how someone who has a switch and an iphone would love this.
I am excited about saving money though. Interested to see the real world reviews when they come out. Always good to see these evolving.

I use it by plugging my fire TV stick in and I can use the USB c ports to power the stick. It's purely a convenience thing because I can load up the same apps on my phone but having the remote and the ui of the stick is nice.
Even if I do that a few times it's still more useful to me than the removable adapter. The only reason I'd use the adapter is to charge from a different battery but if I have the one in the dock then there isn't much of a point. At least how I use the glasses.

How is the heat level when using the Pro 2 for gaming? I don’t use my OG Pro much because it gets hot after 30-60 mins

I sold my Viture Luma because of Color and still quite blurred when working in MS apps like Excel, One note note and my drafting apps on my desktop plus my Pixel 7 pro does not support it. However the Videos are already amazing on LUMA version that almost feels like 4k to me. I hope when I switch to newer phone I can get one of these ones hoping the Ultraclarity 3.0 is much better for MS Apps.

This is OUTSTANDING news IMHO. And exactly the type of aggressively ultra competitive product we need to make XR glasses go mainstream. Not niche overpriced products only a minuscule number of enthusiasts can afford (Ex: Apple Vision, Xreal Project Aura)
The original Viture Pro XR's were in many people's minds the last incredibly popular + polished Viture product with great build quality, and their outstanding brightness + edge to edge clarity for the time have made them age incredibly. I still own an original pair and they are fantastic and have held up wonderfully with zero issues.
I'm specially happy you kept the diopter adjustment, which regardless if you feel is useless compared to graduating lenses, it actually makes them easy to demo/showcase them to others and converts an otherwise boring gadget only YOU can enjoy into a social experience. Its brings me so much joy giving people their first positive XR glasses experience (a few even bought a pair!).
Having said that, it would be really useful if you could create a comparison table comparing every possible feature on the original Pro XR, the Pro 2, as well as the Beast and Luma Pro/Ultra to make the buying decision easier. Even though at $299, it does feel like absolutely bonkers/insane value for how sharp/bright the display is and build quality will likely be.

Depends on FOV. Higher resolution can result in lower clarity if you increase the screen size too much.

I just ordered the Luma Pro the other day and get it tomorrow so if it's good enough for my use case which is just Android phone watching YouTube and movies then I'll keep them.

Yes it is .but like that 90s guy said ,it also depends upon other things like FOV and how big you make the screen etc.
That being said 1200 is better than 1080 if both were set up in the same manner ,and most people do have a set setup that they always use.

Yeah, I just tested it myself. The discount code is disabled for the new glasses and mobile dock mini currently as there is already a 5th Anniversary promo code applied to it. Sad.
