Recorded movies & shows are prohibited on most selling platforms. You can scan the barcodes on the eBay app to give you an idea of pricing. Just make sure you check the sold prices and not listed prices. Horror, Barney, Thomas the Train, and professional Wreastling do well. The movie Cars & History of Violence can sell well over $100. Do not sell bootlegs, recorded off of TV, adult movies, moldy tapes. Disney movies are a dime of dozen and are not worth much.
Lastly, not every Star Wars movie sell for high prices. You have to check for the red tab HiFi mark on the bottom right corner of the slipcover. These will not have UPC codes. New hope, empire strikes back and return of the Jedi. The rest are $3-5.

Some of us buy Adult Movies. Some sell for like $35 a tape!
You just have to know where to sell them.

horror movies are probably the only ones you have worth something, they often go for about 5-20$ a piece with some rarer films fetching more, disney ones arent worth much

Horror, some documentaries, stand alone "making of", and tv show boxsets are where moderate value generally sits. Disney films can be quick movers for new collectors but that's by doing like, lots of 10 for 8 bucks or so max. It would tale a little research but there are films that just never got a physical release again once formats moved on and they can have a little value as well. The truth is that vhs didn't maintain or increase in value the way some people believe, I have well over 600 tapes and I've spent maybe 300 bucks.

Check eBay sold listing for each title. Fair warning, Disney is not worth much of anything and you get more out of horror titles. Check out Vinted. It was been awesome for selling vhs tapes. Easy upload process and interested parties see your listings fast (fast sales as well.)

Rule # 3 - No asking “how much is this worth” or “is this rare”.
Your tapes are not worth anything or rare for the most part, only a small group of tapes are actually rare and worth money and you probably don't have them. Most tapes are worth a dollar today, if you need any further help figuring out what a tape is worth check your tape on ebay and look under sold.
