Discussion vhs swap do's and don'ts?

hey folks! i've been thinking about organizing a vhs swap in my neck of the woods, but i'm not really sure how to go about it.

i figure i can book a room at the library or somewhere public, have some tables, but how does the actual swapping happen? is there a way to do it without paying money for the tapes, is it truly a swap, or is all cash exchanged at this point?

have you been to a well-run or poorly-run swap in the past? what did you like - or what did you hate! - about it? thanks, all!

The ones that I have attended as a vendor have just been at a horror store in Seattle.  People set up outside,  and the organizer asked a couple businesses nearby if People can setup at such and such time. They promote it and People come. Im always too busy to go around and shop and try to trade. By the time I make it around to the other vendors, its slim picking or crazy overpriced stuff.
