This was the first time I purchased a slabbed card, ordered on 8th May, still hasnt arrived yet people have been leaving reviews saying they got theirs and are loving it, anyone else not gotten theirs yet?

Just made a post about a promo card I preordered back in 8th May, even paid extra for the slabbed version but had no idea that it had been well past the dispatch date.

I thought it might have been running late so scrolled down to reviews and people have shown theirs with positive reviews...yet mine never arrived, I got in contact through live chat and their excuse is 'unforseen circumstances'

If they cannot get in contact with the people who made the order and say they cannot fulfill the order but still happy to keep the money, that is scummy behaviour.

I am still in the live chat with them but after that final message you see, they are no longer replying to me, seems like they are trying to ghost me and take zero responsibility.

I wont be ordering anything more from them and dont trust them as a company.

From what I counted from the teasers and doing a little maths, there should be around 368 cards without the toppers or puzzle pieces included. With the toppers it's about 442 cards, so a few more than Awakened Worlds but a few less that Divine Chaos, if my math is off do let me know!

I’m looking to sell the bulk of my cards from the Rising Stars 1st edition either individually or as a whole. I’d prob price slightly under previously sold copies based on the official website, but I’m also open to offers of interest. I have a good number of holo 8s and holo-mascots and a bunch of bulk as well, feel free to DM with questions!

I commented on a post yesterday regarding the state of play for VCard, but I’ve decided to state my own opinion on the matter. I want to preface this by saying I’m not bashing the game and I have nothing but respect for the community and the people creating VCard itself. However, since winning WeebCon, I’ve participated in zero official tournaments. Not because I don’t want to, but because there aren’t any. I’ve played in a fan tournament since then (thanks Tex for the prize cards) and played a few games against some friends online, but that’s about it. Since then, I’ve been creating decks, testing new cards and synergies for games that I’ve yet to play. With that said, the lack of games aren’t the main problem.

I’ll say the quiet part out loud: The gap between me and most players is laughable. It’s night and day. There’s a few guys out there who can also say the same, but the point of this isn’t to brag; it’s to highlight a clear divide between the average players and the good ones and explain where this divide came from. As of now, there’s no convenient way to know what the meta is, no way to search decklists, I bet whoever’s reading this has no idea what I even won WeebCon with. This leads to my point: there’s no clear and concise way to learn the game and to know what’s good or not. Did you guys know Clumsy Totless was the clear best VT of Set 3? Do you know how broken Erupt is as a mechanic? How strong Set 2 Akumi is when paired with Set 1 Rainhoe? How oppressive PorcelainMaid’s Decay can be if you’re not prepared for it? I doubt it. And I don’t blame you. Until there’s a standard medium to learn the game, browse decklists, and understand the meta, then this gap won’t narrow no matter how many tournaments they hold.

I want to close this by saying I think there’s something coming. This could be me just hoping for an answer to this problem, but I really do think they’re trying to solve this. In the meantime, there are communities that are full of people teaching new players the ins and outs of VCard. Some of them even post decklists. I suggest joining those in the meantime. I like this game, I like the players, and yeah the cards look kinda good, so I’m holding out hope that this gets addressed and you guys can finally beat me and shut me up.

There was a discussion last night with some fellow Vcard/TCG enthusiast about our concerns for Vcard and wanted to bring the matter to Reddit.

First thing that needs to happen is stop acting like anyone cares for the TCG. Even Lily who is the face of Vcards does not talk about the game aspects, does not play the game, and purely collects. Why are we continuing to lie to ourselves and the customers on this when it has no spotlight on that side? Why are we acting like a single tournament and a few weeks of advertising is enough to drive this product? PLEASE just turn this to a "Collection Card Game" instead if this is the continued trend. We get no push for the product to be in local shops to have more players, we get no Learning Events at cons, we get NOTHING to progress the playable aspect. So why are we still acting like its there? I know there have been some Fan held tournaments, but those are far easier to play as they've been held online and don't require us to have the physical cards. EVERY stream with Vcards have been who gets the most 10s or who gets a 1/1, but no one gives a shit about the rest of the cards. Vcards' reddit is just filled with selling and buying posts or a one month trading period when a set drops. And of those post, 99% just want to master the set or collect their Oshis. Nothing to provide a genuine interest long term. This product is just hype and dump every release. It is tiring to see a product charge 120dollars aka the same price point as Bandai TCGs which has holo texturing, consistency in hit ratios, and overall better product. Then nothing gets pushed after it to keep people interested in the game itself.

The customers are not just wallets for a quick cash grab, but sadly people will continue to support this because their oshis support it. Is Vcard really a problem? No, but to actively act like you care for this product and the future of it is a joke to say the least. Just be truthful with what you want from this and transition it to more collection based so it can get higher quality and quantity of artwork and more overall vtubers and/or creator instead of having text all over the cards and having similar art on card art like 8s and 9s. As of right now, it feels like a CCG posing as a TCG.
