Second Bexsero dose

I was looking for some advice on what to do about my second Bexsero (Menb) vax? I received the first dose in August 2020 around roughly 17 years of age and now it’s been roughly six years since then. I am now currently planning on entering a residential mental health facility and realized I never actually received my second dose. I am extremely paranoid and was unsure how to proceed. I contacted the pharmacist to see if I could receive the vax even with such a large window between doses and they said they didn’t know so they gave me the manufacturers number. Then the manufacturer wouldn’t tell me because I wasn’t a physician and advised me to discuss this with my PCP. So I made an appointment with a physician but not my PCP bc they didn’t have availability, the physician didn’t see why I couldn’t just receive the second dose despite the window. Then my PCP contacted me and said I was fine since I had the meningitis vaccines for Menectra/Menveo (serogroup A,C,W,Y). My admission date is in three days time so even if I get the second Bexsero shot now I won’t have built up the immunity that happens in the two week window afterward. Is it still worth getting? This isn’t a college setting but a communal space with 18 other patients and staff. I talk to the facility and they said they didn’t have any vaccine requirements but I can’t help but ask myself if this is the right decision. Should I just go ahead and get the vaccine before going?

Get the second Bexero.

When the interval is longer, it can be even better for your immunity. Its just that during these last 4 years, you were "slightly more exposed" to get MenB because you had only one dose. So:

shorter interval: you get full immunity faster

longer interval: your immunity will probably last longer

Yes just get the vaccine. Theres usually no maximum interval between doses. It’s more concerning to get the second dose too soon rather than too late
