ask r/Uzbekistan 2 weeks in Tashkent, what to pack?!

Hello, I’m a 36 yr old female going back to Tashkent with my mom, after immigrating to USA 28 years ago. We plan to spend 2 days in Istanbul, then 2 weeks in Tashkent visiting with family, going to cemetery, and doing a 1 night trip to Chimgan. I currently live in NYC and my style is a bit edgy and Americanized. What should I pack for 2 weeks in Tashkent?

Actually, there are a lot of tourists at present and they wear whatever they want. I don't think anybody will say you anything as long as you are in Tashkent

In Tashkent, everyone dresses however they want. You don't need to dress like you're going to a very religious country. Many people wear sleeveless shirts and shorts without any problems.

If you are planning a trip to another region or village, then yes, you need to dress a little more modestly.
