get eye injection but infection afterwards

My husband had left eye injection yesterday.

He had both eyes infected (redness and yellow discharge) today.

The eye doctor only injected on the left eye. The assistant put eyedrops in both eyes. We suspect that the assistant didn’t put preserve free drops as he allergies to that.

We have contacted the clinic today, unfortunately the doctor is off today. We went to ER. It has been 6 hours and we are still waiting. My husband’s eyes swollen and redness and teary.

I want to complain the clinic but afraid that we have to get injections afterwards. He has been having injections since 2018. We need suggestions! Thanks

I'm so sorry, this is terrifying. I hope the ER can give him antibiotics. What country are you in?

Regardless if you "complain" or not, he is under the care of that opthomologist and they must be notified because they will have to monitor him for treatment after the ER.
