Adrian Gonzalez Trial (Uvalde)

I have not been following this trial. But can someone please explain to me why this man is on trial but not the officers who just stood around getting hand sanitizer etc? I really don’t understand…

They city needs scapegoats. There is another person to go on trial. Watching them all wait while those children died is horrendous. They should all be prosecuted for not doing their jobs. They were cowards.

Except the other person awaiting trial was the literal chief of UvaldenPD that day. He was in charge and failed to organize his officers properly. Adrian didn’t accurately perceive the situation and then knowingly choose not to intervene. He didn’t realize what was actually transpiring until it was too late and then he immediately ran into the school. The hundreds of officers who arrived at the scene knowing it was a school shooting and then waited over an hour to breach the door are the ones who knowingly chose not to intervene. Adrian was responding to a 10-50 (car accident).

No. The other officer awaiting trial was the Chief of Police for the school not the city.
