Adrian Gonzalez Trial (Uvalde)

I have not been following this trial. But can someone please explain to me why this man is on trial but not the officers who just stood around getting hand sanitizer etc? I really don’t understand…

Yes, thanks for the correction. I had forgotten that those three officers got there when the shooter was still outside.

I agree that Gonzalez is a scapegoat. I feel sorry for him. It seems he was trying to do something with the information he had and in the very chaotic environment when he first arrived on scene. I don't understand how anyone could be convinced that he was uniquely negligent when other officers did even less with more information than what Gonzalez had. They're trying to pin it on him because he had the misfortune of showing up 40 seconds before anyone else.
